Bledsoe - 22 pts on 7/11 shooting, 7 rebounds 6 asists in his first game as a Sun :D

Plumlee - 18 pts on 8/14 shooting and 15 rebounds and 3 blocks in his first game as a Sun :D

Very good performance by Dragic and Tucker too (though they need to stop posting up Tucker, that only worked in summer league)

This team is so much better to watch than the last 3 years teams.

Hello, Miles Plumlee. Pleasant surprise, to say the least.

Almost expected Bledsoe and Dragic to be instant contributors. Great game.

Championship!

Plumlee certainly has a pulse. Bledsoe is a stud. Len and Goodwin are... raw, very very raw. Hope Len is still gaining his legs back, to say he looked "plodding" is being kind.

Len and Goodwin looked completely lost, but that's to be expected- we knew they were both long-term projects from day one. Goodwin had one really nice move getting to the basket, and I liked Len's elbow-swinging, not backing down from Robinson move. Offensive rebound/ put back was quite nice too.

I wish the Suns already had Bledsoe locked-up to an extension.

I want them to go to Plumlee in the post more in the future.

Can you imagine how much it would speed up the rebuilding process if we had a center that can dump the ball off to in the post and tell him to go to work?

Goodwin will be alright as he matures. I like Len. He has an attitude when he gets upset. This bodes well for his future. He is still trying to figure out the game.

Robin Lopez had an attitude when he became upset too and I think it hindered far more than helped. You have to be able to channel your anger, players that let it control them are easily manipulated. The Reggie Evans/Bruce Bowen-like players make a living off of the anger and frustration of others. It's too early to say that Len is like that, hopefully he isn't. Don't back down but never lose your head.

Most enjoyable Suns game in quite some time. Now I just need to read that the Suns locked up Bledsoe by the deadline tomorrow.

Plumlee was a revelation. Dragic looked like Nash driving the middle, keeping the dribble, and dribbling out when nothing was there.

The starting 5 is very good, IMO. Plumlee makes them potentially stellar. I can't see him doing this game in and game out, and he doesn't have a go-to mentality on offense quite yet, but you can see why they were so excited.

The bench is hot garbage. Starters + Tucker are going to log a lot of minutes this year. There will be a wall to hit at some point.

Defensively, pretty weak on the perimeter. That surprised me. I thought that might be decent.

Just saying, I want a player who cares about his performance. I don't think Len was off base as Robinson likes to bully. If Len stays healthy, I think he will develop into a nice player. It's going to take awhile (maybe a couple of seasons) for Len to grasp the game. He plays with effort which is good enough for me right now.

Yeah, they really only went 7 deep tonight. Markieff probably would have logged double digit minutes if he'd been available though.

Klay Thompson and the Warriors are bringing the Lakers back down to earth tonight. Thompson would have looked so sweet in a Suns uniform.

Tucker is just raping Batum and refs refuse to call anything. Tucker fouls Batum, even Suns announcers admit it and Tucker is the one shooting FT's. Refs trying really really hard to help the Suns who are playing in front of about 20 people.

Tucker needs to be arrested and prosecuted for sexual assault after this game.

suns can do no wrong in front of the refs tonight

Refs let Tucker commit criminal assault all night long. Plumlee caught everyone off guard. Take away Plumlee and this is a EASY W.
We kept trying to get it inside but LMA kept loosing the ball and Tucker raped everyone who got within 18 feet of the rim and since Refs would not call it we stopped trying to get it inside. That was a mistake though. When we controlled the paint we were the better team. We cut 16 points lead down to 1, then Tucker happened and after no help from refs we gave up.

Pacers fans arguing about Plumlee

Maybe we ought of just kept Plumlee.... have you seen the numbers he's currently putting up?

If he keeps it up defiantly, but he has to keep it up first. One game makes not a season.

Plus it's Phoenix. Lots do guys look good on offense there.

But I thought that everyone here said that Plumlee sucked.....

Plumlee is why the Scola deal took a long time to happen. Bird really didn't want to give him up.

I am sure of that.........I was just trying to point out that there were a lot of people that unfairly branded Plumlee as fodder before giving him any type of chance to prove anything. I know that one game isn't much to prove anything and that he could end up being a ultra-athletic bench warmer.....but it looks like there is some glimmer of talent there that Bird recognized.

Ahhh, funny how one game changes the narrative of a career. I'll repeat what I said about 100 times since we drafted him: The guy had four years to prove himself to be something at one of the best college programs in the country for arguably the best coach in all of basketball. All he proved was that he was wildly mediocre. He always had the size and athleticism to be good, but let's pump the brakes on this Plumlee Bonerfest. The Suns are winning right now, but it's the third quarter of the first game of the season. If he puts up numbers this year, it won't shock me. If he puts up numbers and the Suns prove to not be a dumpster fire that, frankly, they aspire to be, then I gobble down that rancid trash bird that is crow.

And I will repeat what I said about 100 times since we drafted him. That "best college program" has consistently misused a lot of Centers because this "best coach in all of basketball" is madly in love with small ball. Miles was misused in Duke and he will forge a nice career in the NBA. He won't be a star, of course, but he belongs in this league.

It's just that Miles got a lot of unnecessary hate due to his Duke career and I never understood that. Some people around here were never willing to give him a chance and bashed the FO 24/7 for the pick. Heck, some people even used this as an excuse as to why people should stop supporting this team (not you, of course).

Running the court at an impressive pace for a big man

Showing unexpected (by me, anyway) athleticism, including vertical leaping

Had a nice running hook shot

Quick foot work finished with banked hook shot

One-handed alley-hoop dunk after P&R with Bledsoe

Two-handed dunk in the zone, seemed to go up strong in general

Hit a jumpshot from the baseline

Good help-defense without forgetting to box out

In short: I couldn't believe my eyes.

How soon before he becomes a 3-point shooting center?
