Diamondbacks are now down 5-4. They have to win this game.

Still down 5-4 bottom of the 8th. They need to rally in the 9th. What hurts is the Giants score when they need to.

I'd like to see that play at first again, Looked like Carlos beat the throw to me, but it doesn't make a damn bit of difference.

The Diamondbacks lose 5-4. Tough one to swallow but there is always tomorrow. Let's take the next three. The only good thing is the Phillies and the Dodgers also lost.

Atleast no one can pin this loss on Myers or Overbay :D

They have lost 3 in a row since Cintron got hurt. Let's hope he is back soon and then Shea can go to first, Counsell to third, Cintron at short and Spivey at second. We have Curt pitching tomorrow.

I am still of the opinion that the D'backs need to make a trade for a right fielder. That position is like a black hole for this team...no power, no average

I also believe they need a trade to get a right fielder. There is too much baseball left and they're only 2 games out of the playoffs. A big bat would benefit this team a lot.

Diamondbacks are 8 behind the Giants in the NL West and 2 behind the Phillies for the Wild Card.

John Franco had me sweating on that - left the door open for the Phillies - they had to take him out.

The Diamondbacks go down in order in the first. They need to get Curt an early lead so then the Giants will hopefully lose hope.

This is getting ridiculous. How come they can't score a run against the Giants when they have a runner on third and less than 2 outs? They need to get him home.

My question was: Why did McCracken get the start AGAIN after he has totally failed the entire season?

No kidding! He not only gets the start but during his first at bat he hits a weak ground ball to third on an 2-0 pitch with a runner on third.

BENCH HIM NOW!!!

Maybe it's time to sit Counsell also.

Thats what I was about to say!! With a team that is struggling offensively ... why do we have 2 players in the starting lineup that are hitting around or below the Mendoza Line?!

Baerga has been one of the most clutch hitters this season, along with Hammock...why do these guys sit? If I am the coach, I go with the hot bat, it is funny how the offense cooled down after the injured players returned.
