Fossum doesn't look like he has it all tonight. He gives up a base hit to the frickin pitcher, which leads to another run after a swining bunt by the leadoff hitter.

3-0 Braves after 2. Come on bats WAKE UP

BTW Nice play by Cintron

Just got home and it's 3-0 Braves. Need to start an early rally.

Ugh This really pathetic. The Braves starting pitcher is known for being wild but the Dbacks are swinging at anything near the strike zone.

Does anyone in this lineup have any patience?

Fossum gives up a 2 out RBI to the Braves pticher and the Braves are now up 4-0. Unbelieveable  it almost looks like this team isn't even trying today

Franco hits a HR and the Braves now lead 5-0.

I'm so glad we got him to replace Dessens ... I see such a big difference.

D-Backs lose 5-1 but take the series. The Dodgers lost again so there was some good news.

Looks like Hammock got a big benefit-of-the-doubt on ghost-tagging Castillo at the plate. :D
No problem with that - more than enough of those calls don't go our way.

So who got sent down for Sexson to get back on the 25-man roster?

Yes he did. I think it was one of those the ball beat him therefore he is out type of thing there.

OF Debore (sp?)

Fins is knocked in by a Hillenbrand triple and then he is knocked in by a double by Hammock. 3-0 Dbacks

You can see the confidence that Sexson returning to the lineup gives to this team.

Looks like Brenly will play Shea against the lefties and Chad against the righties. I hope Kata learned his lesson. Next time go to second to start the double play. Very fortunate on that horrible call at home.

Rut-roh....bases loaded for the Fish, nobody out in the second....

Daigle should buy a lottery ticket because he was lucky enough to get out of the jam without any damage. Still 3-0 Dbacks

Change that Daigle has already given up 4 runs in the 3rd inning and they're still batting

Our luck finally ran out...Fish take the lead 4-3 in the 3rd - - Finley nails Redmond at the plate to end the misery.

And this time Hammock clubbed him out at the plate. LOL.

I'm ready to try Good and Randolph in the rotation. Daigle to Tucson where he really belonged anyhow, bring up Service for the pen. Dang -, you know who they'll be grooming to step in pretty quick? Reynolds. SIGH.

If Lance Cormier in El Paso can continue at his current level, which is pure pipe dreaming, I can imagine him getting a direct trip to BOB this year at some point.

Thank you, Shea. That was nice. New game.

Forget Good, he is another Elmer with a slower fastball. By the way, what the h*ll is Shea doing swinging at the first pitch with the bases loaded after all 3 guys had walked?

That's just Shea being Shea. It's that .303 OBP in the flesh.

This game was pathetic. They walk in the winning run. Great call by Brenly on that pitchout with the bases loaded. When will Gonzo drive in a run with men in scoring position and less than two outs? Also, Matt Kata is not a good fielding second baseman. First his poor judgement in the first and then Hammock threw a perfect strike and Kata completely misses the tag on Pierre, who eventually came in to score the winning run. Finally, don't get me started on Shea swinging at that first pitch. They should of had the no take sign on. Benitez is known to be very wild and blow games in the last inning. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. The Dodgers and Padres lost so it would of been nice to of won tonight.

Well, at least we'll always have the perfect game to look back on...5-0 Marlins in the 2nd, one out.

...sigh...

Never one to learn from his mistakes, Brenly intentionally walks the bases loaded with one out - Sparks is so bad he already has Good warming up, defense is slovenly today, and that Grand Slam was written on the effin' wall. What, he thinks with the bases loaded suddenly Sparks will remember how to pitch?
That's it. That's it. Fire Brenly now. RIGHT now. Send that incompetent GM Joe and his non-rotation of Sparks, Daigle, Fossum, Dessens, and Reynolds packing too. And his old gang Mayne, Baerga, Colbrun too. And Sadler, make him take Sadler. This team, as constituted, SUX! :bang:

I missed the game and it looks like I was lucky not to see this debacle. I heard Sexson reinjured his shoulder. Does anyone know if it is serious?

Yes, although I'm not sure how badly. He grabbed his shoulder after checking his swing on a pitch in the 6th inning (I think), he didn't look like he hurt himself as badly as he did last time (which is somewhat good news ... truthfully I'm reaching for positives at this point)

Once he gets healthy again I have some advice for Sexson ... NO MORE CHECK SWINGS FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON
