My goal tonight was to write nothing but positive things about the D'Backs....um, I guess our uniforms look sharp. Two hits, two walks, IBB to Bonds, wild pitch (run scoring), error by Hillenbrand (two-run error), and we still have only one out in the 1st. Randolph is already warming up.

Make it two outs, another run scored on a sac fly. 4-0 Gnats in the 1st.

Well I guess we have a positive in that we limited them to only 4 runs. However that is a very sad positive.

We need the offense to show up BADLY

Webb should have just hit Tucker instead of throwing behind him (not that Webb has much control tonight anyway)...I wonder which D'Back will receive the return favor??

Okay, positive time - - two on, nobody out in our half of the 2nd.

Mayne hits an groundout for an RBI and moves to 2nd on a throwing error. Webb just bunted him over to 3rd.

4-3 Giants

Dessens should pitch the first inning of Webb's starts, just so Webb can avoid his habitual bad first inning! Webb has settled down nicely since the first, keeping the score 4-3 Gnats in the 4th.

Since when did the major leagues turn into the NBA? Superstars suddenly get a different strike zone?

That pitch was on the inside corner to Bonds and they refuse to call a 3rd strike. WHAT A JOKE

Bonds was OUT...OUT...OUT!!! That last pitch by Webb (5th inning) was perfect, yet the fricking ump caved in to Barry! Luckily, we got out of the inning unscathed, and somehow BB didn't get tossed.

Shea pulls through AGAIN!! Two-out hit drives in Gonzo, 4-4 in the 5th. Tracy drives in Shea as I am writing, it's 5-4 D'Backs!!

It seems that inside pitch to Grissom really sparked the Dbacks to rally behind Webb.....

This line-up change that Brenly engineered was exactly what the doctor ordered....It appears that all the players were suited to bat in those respective spots...Just hope he doesnt tamper with anything regardless.....

Yeah that inside pitch really seemed to wake up Webb for some reason. Hey whatever works!

BTW It was Tucker not Grissom

Just got home and heard the score. Too bad I can only listen to it on radio. More runs needed.

Whoops....I guess my lack of sleep has drastically taken a major toll on
me! :D

Anyways, it seems Webb has been going after the hitters a lot more today than he has over the past months....I believe though that he's pitched his final inning.....

If Randolph is brought in tonight....That eliminates the prospects of him starting on Saturday....More than likely it will be Andrew Good to get his first start of '04.....

Some are speculating that they are going to call up Edgar Gonzalez

I said last week on another thread that he should be recalled immediately, however, I dont know who will be removed from the roster to create room for him..... Edit: Tim Olson would be demoted since they have no need for another middle IFer at this time....

The Dbacks 2-out hitting has been exceptional....They're executing the hit-and-run brilliantly (been aggressive taking the extra base), and trying to spray the ball all over instead of pulling everything in sight... Plus, theyre taking pitches....This is very refreshing!

11-5 Diamondbacks in the 8th. Tracy and Cintron knock runs in. Looks like they will take 3 games in a row from the Giants.

Way to go Dbacks!!!!!

Clutch-relief appearances by Service and Good.... Also, CONGRATS on DeVore for his 1st ML HR!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow it will be Fossum vs. Ishii.... Ishii is one of the wildest starting pitchers in all of baseball, so I hope the Dbacks continue to exercise strong plate discipline.....

The relief appearence by Good indicates that he may not be the Starter on Saturday....my guess is now on Gonzalez or Randolph

I dont know about Randolph since he struggled in his 2/3 of an inning tonight, however, I do agree about Gonzalez......Or else....Dessens? I dread the thought of him starting........Keep him in mid-relief...the role he's begun to flourish in....

No Jim Tracy tonight and Milton Bradley for the series due to suspension.

Lets keep this roll going

EDIT: Milton Bradley is playing since he has appealed the suspension
