No we have had far too many Head coaches in Arizona. If CKW gets fired the new guy will eventually run off Whisenhunt's guys and bring in his and we'll go through another 3-4 years of adjusting to the new system and new players and 5-11 until the Bidwills get impatient and the new guy gets canned and the process will start all over.

This is what I feel.

You make the correct choice and this doesn't have to be the case. Harbaugh, Carroll, and many others have proved this theory out.

Carroll? Isnt he in year 3? Just like Duck said 3 to 4 years till you can even have a sniff of being good again generally. To much turnover. Plus thats really a mediocre 5-5 team. Thanks replacement refs. :)

1 more year, can Grimm & Miller

This. Whis needs to have less say in personnel and has to get some alternative voices in. I'm really disappointed in John McNulty; I really wanted him to succeed as QB Coach.

Carroll went to the playoffs (and won) in year one in Seattle. If the playoffs started today, they'd be in. They've beaten Green Bay and New England. They have dominating wins against Dallas, Minnesota, and the Jets.

:biglaugh:

Yep he did. His 7-9 team fluked there way into the playoffs in 2010. Something that's never been done before and likely never done ever again. The one reason there was debate after debate to revamp the whole playoff seeding on every major sports talk show that year. You wanna pine him as a good coach because of that go right ahead more power to you. The team absolutely should be 5-5 THIS year if not for the biggest outrage in officiating history. So bad it caused the lockout to end 3 days later. But yet they are 6-4. With wins against NE(we beat on the road) and dominating wins against the Cowboys and Jets impress who?

3 seasons with a 6 game losing streak zero progress on the QB play
time for a change of direction

plus we have a off season of change anyway, might as well throw the HC in the mix and save yourself the upheaval the following year...start the rebuild now

I'm willing to give Whiz one more year if he gets rid of Grimm and Miller.

My point was that when he came in, he turned the team around immediately with a complete overhaul. And made some very good draft choices with Okung, Thomas, Tate, & Chancellor.

Like it or not, until we have a QB we will be fighting for 3rd place in the NFC West.

I don't think it is wise to fault a team for making the playoffs and then knocking off the defending Super Bowl champs in round 1.

Nor is it wise for a Cardinals fan to do it knowing how we got to the Super Bowl as the "Worst Playoff team ever".

My ONLY reservation to Whiz being fired is that I think we need to give Kolb one more year while we build up our pass rush and O-line. Unless we get Reid, or someone looking to bring in the Philly offense I would hate to put him (and the rest of the offense) at that much of a disadvantage to start the off season program.

Sorry, Whiz. Team (offense) is going in the wrong direction. Too many six game losing streaks. Too many really ugly games. It was fun. Later, bye.

Done with Kolb and Skelton (and probably Lindley).

Now no way. If we lose out absolutely. If we lose say 4 of the last 6 I'd strongly consider it.

I like Whiz I think he's a good coach but we've all seen good coaches get tuned out by teams and if that is happening you gotta get out in front of it.

I think the next 6 games will show us the answer.

Agreed... Now is not the time. If they fire him..... Who doesn't think Grimm would be the interim coach?

Also.... Who doesn't think we are going to lose AT LEAST 4 of the last 6?

St. Louis
@ NYJ
@ Seattle
Detroit
Chicago
@ San Fran

Maybe St. Louis and the Jets. That is all I see.

With a lot of koolaid I could see them beat Detroit and/or Chi, maybe. But StL, NYJ and Detroit and/or Chicago? Not for all the koolaid in Alabama.

So what your saying is that at 7-9, 7-9 and a gifted 6-4(in 3rd year) Carroll is a quality coach?? Is that your opinion??

It should be a progression when it comes to firing a coach. We gave him more input when he went to the playoffs two years in a row. Now after three sub par seasons, you force him to make staff changes on the offense. You bring in an experienced coordinator and let that coordinator bring in the guys he needs. That is the process you go through with an experienced head coach. He gets one more year.

For me persoanlly even reeling off a few meaningless Ws after your playoff chances have already been torpedoed by a long losing streak isn't going to be good enough this time around.

Even looking back at the games we did manage to actually win these last two seasons Whis seems to have been living on borrowed time and is fortunate to have lasted this long. Short of a miracle finish to this season he should be shown the door.

I wonder if the players are as divided as the fans on here are.

NO. Most of the problems are on the GM Personnel side of thing. If you bring in a new coach it takes YEARS just to get adapted to their system.
