Not hating on Sims, but to me LT has shown a good deal of improvement over last season...If the LT that played last night was around last season, the Cards would have beaten Carolina.

I think Arians knows what he has in LT & wants to see more of Sims. I just don't understand Sims decision not to correct his vision. Imo vision is a very important factor in playing the position. You would think he would do it just to be able to freaking see. I've worn contacts/glasses for 40+ years & it's irritating not being able to see things clearly.

Did they say he got his vision corrected? He didn't have it looked at for years then decided to do it and got it corrected.

I dont think he will make the final roster, but man it would be phenomenal to have this kid on the practice squad. He can play the role of Wilson and Pickles. Not saying he is that good yet just saying its a similar athlete that would be good practice for the defense.

I like what I have seen from him both in camp and in Preseason, I just dont know if I would cut LT loose yet. Its a tough decision between those two.

A question for Board members. Last year, at this time, what did most think about Ryan Lindley? I know how the story ended, but how did it begin? I must admit, I'm looking forward to this Thursday's game, to see how both QB's play.

I always thought he was terrible and he proved it

You mean the 6'4", 220 lb little guy? He's a giant compared to everyone except Logan Thomas.

I don't think he is actually 6'4. I know the team listed that as his size but I believe he either provided those measurements or they let him wear large cleats while they took out the measuring tape.

When Lindley started as a rookie I said then he was one of the worst QBs I ever saw, he had some slight improvement last preseason but not enough to make me forget how miserably inaccurate he is.

Blindley was terrible from beginning until that dreadful end. I'm not sure anyone on this board believed he was anything but a scrub, in the locker room & including the HC despite what he said.

Before everyone gets too crazy talking about sims I just watched the Oakland game again n his drive the farthest his ball traveled was 2 yards past the line of scrimmage. Everything was a dump off n the receiver ran more than 10 yards after the catch. I'm not saying LT is great either but let's not put this guy higher on depth chart because we don't want LT there because of last year. LTs final drive of the game was good I thot but he got lucky on his first pass cuz he eyed the te n if it didn't get knocked down it would have been a pick 6. That's my 2 cents u can take it how u want. I'm excited for Thursday to see if one of these guys can win a spot on the roster

LT's last drive was the Momah show. Why not add last year to this year. He should know what he's doing and looks just as bad IMO. He should look better than a half blind QB just learning the offense. Sims my never be good but we can still put the may in front of his name.

What does Logan do better than Sims exactly?

Having a stronger arm is the only thing I can think of.

I felt that Lindley out played Thomas in the preseason and training camp. Thomas clearly wansn't ready for live NFL action but the Cards had invested a 4th rounder in him so they kept him as a future investment over the more seasoned Lindley.

If I am BA I am going with 2 QBs on the roster and maybe one on the practice squad if I/(BA) thinks he has a chance to be a starter some day. I don't waste a roster spot to keep a third QB over a position player. They way I see it is if CP and DS get hurt and we're down to QB number 3 were already done.

I like just about everything about Sims so far. It's a great story. I love his attitude. But it's hard not to be concerned about the hang time he puts on his deep ball.

It's weird too because I could have sworn I saw a story that talked about him having a strong arm and chucking a ball the length of the field. So I don't know if arm strength is the problem. Assuming it's not, is that something that can be fixed? If it can't, then it's definitely a big enough deal breaker to prevent him from being a starter, maybe even a backup.

Yea but momah isn't a running back so u have to get him the ball n on the one where momah carried 3 guys LT threw a strike n let him do it then he completed one down the middle to jaxson for another first then when momah got popped LT threw a ball right on the money. I'm not saying I like LT more than sims cuz I don't. I just said his longest pass downfield was 2 yards n he got all the praise for this last game but LT threw the ball downfield n led the game winning drive and all everyone says it was Momahs drive when LT had to get the ball to him.

There's been conflicting info on this...

There was an article on azcardinals.com claiming he decided not to get contacts to fix his vision.

On the broadcast this week, the announcers claimed that he did get his vision fixed. I think they were wrong & just regurgitating the articles from June when he was supposed to get it fixed.

His eyesight isn't that bad overall... 20/50 in 1 eye and 20/100 in the other (20/100 is worse). What that means is that he can still read some of the small letters on the eye chart, but obviously the further he gets away from things then the less clear they are.

I'm still disappointed that he didn't get contacts & give himself the best chance to make the team.

I recorded the games and have been able to watch the first two games and the first half of the third game. To my eyeball test Sims has played slightly better than Thomas so far. I need to watch the second half of the Oakland game to see how each did. The two things I think Sims did better on was his touch on passes were better than Thomas and his accuracy was also better.

I also thought Shipley looked good on returns and has a good chance of making the team. I could see SK using Jaron Brown as trade bait. He is expendable knowing that Fitz, Floyd, Brown and Nelson are the 1 through 4 receivers. Shipley can fill the 5th spot and is also available as a returner. With GB losing Cobb they may make an good trade partner. Not sure what they would have to offer that can fill a Cardinal need.
