Shocking that much like last year the offensive line all of a sudden started blocking better when Skelton when in there. It's become obvious that Kolb is a big part of the problem when it comes to our o-line woes when he's in there.

Ummm, didn't we give up 6 sacks today? Your right, much improved.

You guys are so over reacting. Don't you ever watch other teams games and QBs on Sunday. A lot better QBs than Kolb or Skelton have much worse games than he did today. Most every QB throws a Int every week or two, some 2, 3, or 4 in a game (including both Mannings). And all QBs fumble each week and general lose one of them. Here are the other qbs stats for today alone: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/stats/byposition

I was surprised and some what happy that we were even in the game today. I wasn't expecting it. And by the way, our D is playing good but aren't putting up any points for us like they and special teams did last year during our run. If we were getting a TD from either D or Sp Teams this year we would have won all our games.

Everyone, not just the QB, has to make big game changing plays. I see lots of effort out there, but we haven't had those huge plays we hope for every week. This year they have been happening to us rather than for us like last week. The odds are evening out I guess.

No we're not over reacting. It's not just the TOs it's where the TOs occurred. It's his throws right at the feet of WRs on key 3rd downs. It's missing a wide open Fitz 10 yards out of bounds when he's wide open and you have all day to throw.

He's awful.

To be fair he only had 11 incompletions today out of 36 passes. That is not awful, we have seen worse.

Aside from AP going bonkers, D did their job and kept the team in the game.

Ponder looked like a rookie out there.

At least one fumble that I can recall without looking at stats.

I don't know how many 3rd down conversions he had... but he had 59.6% completions and we punted 38 time in first 6 games (6.33 punts a game), so MANY 3rd down conversions were missed.

Anything else??

I blame this game on Skelton. Those turnovers he made were costly, just like the int he gave up against buffalo.
No question... this game was lost by Skelton with his two key mistakes. But there is a LOT of over reaction right now even though pretty much everyone expected a blowout loss today.

Skelton had 69% completion today and an 88.0 rating. That is pretty decent. But, obviously, things are blown up because the two critical mistakes cost us the game.

Here are the numbers for Skelton:

25/36, 262 yards, 69.4%, 1 TD, 1 int, 88.0 rating

Again, the pick six was the killer... also the fumble in the red zone was terrible, killing a great drive.

Ponder 8/17, 58 yards, 47.1%, 1 TD, 2 ints, 35.5 rating

and Vikes win... because of the pick six, primarily, that has been the difference :bang:
T

The only difference between Kolb and Skelton is salary. Hyphen did a great job in the run game. I lost count of how many tackles he broke. Very impressive.
The o-line gave up 6 sacks today. At least they have been consistant this season.:bang:

As far as Skelton fumble in the redzone, it was a non factor in the game because Paris intercepted the ball and Hyphen ran it in for a touchdown.

The Cardinals got the ball in Viking territory twice and twice went 3 and out. There are 2 more reason why the Cardinals lost the game. They should at least get 2 field goals with that field position.

This brings me to Jay Feely. Missed another should be field goal after Ponder gift wrapped an interception at the end of the half.

Another reason for the lost is Fitzgerald didn't get involed in the game. If anything chunk it to him and let him go get it.

The O-line is the reason why the Cardinals have to dink and dunk in the passing game. If the qb holds the ball for more than 2 seconds he getting killed.

This is what i saw today.

Yea, they decided to block better this game. It has nothing to do with who is at QB. Look at Howling stats last week. They were horrible. Now look at the stats this week. The line decided to play today. Does Howlings stats have anything to do with how the QB is playing? Nope. Has everything thing to do with how the OL opens a hole for him, and he had some decent ones this game, none last week. So if you think the OL has nothing to do with Kolb performance, thats crazy.

Look at Powell's stats last week.

Not saying our line is good or even adequate, just saying it wouldn't matter even if these guys were all Pro Bowlers considering how bad our QB's are.
