Some of you need to forget those shiny videos the team made all offseason about what a great kid he is.

His ball security is flat-out terrible. I don't care how hard he tried all offseason. 2 games, 2 lost fumbles, 1 run over 5 yards. Those of you who are not drunken homers know a flop when you see one, and this kid is not getting it done. Make all the excuses about the playcall you want. All the runner has to do in that situation is FALL DOWN and NOT FUMBLE.

And the only reason his mistake didn't directly cost us a victory is blind luck.

He had a Mike Williams moment, you wanna give up on the kid that is your choice. You'll enjoy him later though.

All of you people who love him, start picturing him learning ball security, hopefully the positive vibrations will reach him and help this situation.

We won.

We won the dang game and he's going to have a helluva plane ride home. And I'm as sober as a Catholic on Good Friday.

Don't care who you are. You CANNOT put the ball on the ground in that situation. No excuses. None.

Williams should be in the doghouse, Wells could have EASILY been in that situation, Williams was entrusted with protecting the team's prosperity, their win against NE, and he dropped the ball.

Doghouse.

Hopefully Wells is starting to feel healthy cause it is time for him to get the load. He did good, and could have been used more. I understand why he wasn't, but know there is some justifications to tilt the carries to Wells, IMO.

Not giving up on the guy by any means, but he HAS TO get that fixed. We have options at this point so we can use those options accordingly.

I'm not going to give up on anyone, and he was properly disciplined by the situation IMO.

Like I said I hope the horrible feeling he had for a few minutes will bring home the idea that he can't do that.

C'mon, Ed. I have it on very good authority that Ryan Williams never fumbled once in his college career. ;)

Yeah. Ryan Williams isn't complete and utter garbage, he's just not very good. He's Tim Hightower. We're probably paying Ryan Williams twice what we could be paying Tim Hightower, but we also didn't get to draft an OLB because we were busy using a 2nd round pick for the same guy we used a 5th round pick on a couple years earlier.

Nice work, Cards front office. Ryan Williams was surrounded by Mark Dalton and Mike Bidwill at the end of the game. A-L-L H-Y-P-E.

Given that his career is all over but the crying, I take it you want him cut tomorrow morning, right?

Not giving up on him.

If he magically learns how to not fumble, I hope he carries 30 times per game. Right now, he looks like a huge risk with very little payoff. Hopefully he will learn.

Hopefully that's a no brainer.

K-9, you're the definition I was once heard of journalists: "People who come down from the hills and shoot the wounded".

Nope. My point is, he cost us this game except for luck on the missed fg. This board might want to stop making excuses for him, talking about how great he is, and pretending that he's not a liability - which is what he is right now.

You usually don't have to put words in my mouth in order to pick fights. I'm disappointed.

He wasn't wounded. He just gave away a football game, at which point it's fair to say "Hey, this guy just cost us a W." Why's that wrong?

He's still not going to be 100% after his injury, I like the kid, but he has this problem, I think we all are hoping this problem goes away but I like BW too and he went into the doghouse for fumbling, this kid should go there too.

For a while.

He also got the first down on 2 carries that helped us out. Hate away during one of the best victories I can remember.

I think Ryan Williams has some Tim Hightower in him. Most of the fumbles come from making the extra effort. I hope this does not become a major problem with Williams. I still like Hightower despite his faults... making the extra effort.
