Of all of the coaches we interviewed, Wilks was the one who I was most interested in. I think this team needed a fresh start and a kick in the A$$. Wilks seemed like the guy to do it.

Right now I'm more interested in who he brings in to be his OC and DC.

I am most interested in OC, since he is a defensive coach.

JDF would be pretty exciting as OC

Bottom line, this team needed a tough hard nosed HC imo. There were really only 4 of those guys & we got 1. The Cards while they have some defensive talent aren’t nasty enough imo. They also needed a HC to hold them accountable & expect better.

Now it’s time to load up on Dlineman, LBers & finally get that franchise QB

DL: Chandler Jones would have to bulk up again to play DE in that scheme and wouldn't have the schematical freedom he had this season, therefore being more predictable.

This is biggest concern with changing the defense. Don't mess with success...17 sacks this year. Keep him in the same role and build the defense around him and PP.

Don’t roll your eyes, the expectations of PP from his HC just went up & that’s a good thing!

He’s one of the few CB’s in the game today who refuses to hit people. Hell even DRC knocks people’s heads off today.

TJ you know darn well when you watch games that PPs effort in games isn’t 100%

With the kind of $coin he is making, you should expect more from him as a fan.

Disagree. His success will depend on being able to set up an elite defense to give Keim time to find a franchise QB. This offense is a long ways away, especially with a defensive head coach. My guess is that we sign Teddy Birdgewater to be QB, and don't draft a QB in round 1 unless one of the big four drops to us.

Do you think he can setup an elite defense?

Apart from a super bowl win, the baseline for Wilks to be considered a success is better than 50 wins in 5 years and more than 1 playoff win. right?

Keim learnt nothing from Brandon Williams pick did they? And this one has far more consequences. I like Keim but this is too much even for my liking. SMH

you understand that that little anecdote, more than likely was the reason Wilks was given an interview and not the actual hire, right?

I am hoping its Mike Tomlin 2.0. He seems to have similar leadership traits.

You mean the same Mike tomlin that let’s players rule the roost let some show up late to meetings and miss practice altogether yet still start on Sunday? That Mike Tomlin?

No, the one that is 116-60. I think Wilkes will run a tighter ship but at the end of the day, I will take the 116 wins.

I expect him to nullify the opposition's #1 WR. He does it better than anyone in the NFL. He exceeds my expectations and is worth every penny we're paying him.

Did you see the ESPN that shows his success foe the first 5 years compared to his last 7?? Especially in the post season?? Theres a reason a large portion of Steeler fans don't like the guy and Bradshaw to boot and it was speculated that he is under some scrutiny from ownership. His luster is is wearing very thin in Pitt.

If true - who knows - makes ya wonder if the Giants may have been having second thoughts about Shurmur and the Cards decided to pounce on Wilks.

Quite possibly more to this. Who knows? After that game on Sunday I felt like we dodged a bullet in Shurmur. Their offense looked atrocious.

No the one that is like 116 and 60. With a super bowl championship on his resume.

Terry bradshaw didn’t like Chuck Noll even when they were winning Super Bowls so.. who the hell cares what Bradshaw thinks.

Please not another deal with the Eagles for their backup qb.

We lost DRC and a 1st round pick for Kevin Kolb

Fool me once shame on you ...fool me twice shame on me.
