Not in a dancing way, but emotionally....anyone have any favorites?

For me Dark Blue by Jack's Mannequin is a great one, with some awesome lyrics.

On the opposite side, Hands Down by Dashboard Confessional is a great song as well.

Let's hear yours.

What?
Anything by the Police makes me move...out of earshot.

Edit: Oh I see what you're after. Cat's in the Cradle is a good one.

Yeah, as corny as it is (we used to sing it in music class in elementary school) it tugs at fathers' heart strings.

I'm partial to "Ashes of San Miguel," by RCPM, too.

"Black" - Pearl Jam

I read a book that was emotional while listening to the "Ten" album when I was in middle school and everytime I hear "Black" it immediately makes me think of that book.

"Your Song" by Elton John

"I Can't Help Fallin' in Love with You" (Elvis & UB40)

"The Last Song" by Elton John usually brings a tear to my eye.

Waiting in vain - Bob Marley
At your best - Allayah
Unchained Melody -Rightous Brothers
Lately -Jodeci

You just nailed it right there..... Mostly anything by Bob Marley moves me... I cannot believe I overlooked "Redemption Song".... that should have been on my first list. Lord, anything from "Exodus", "Natty Dread", and "Uprising" can move me regardless of what state of mind I'm in... well.. that applies to everything in his catalog.

Yeah, especially late at night after a long night of clubbing...so many fond memories of that.... It's the aura.. the mystique...

If you like Bob Marley, you must check-out either Fela Kuti or Fela's son Femi.

Fela is the Nigerian equal to Marley. Fela had some of the most "moving" songs that also had a profound meaning (mostly political). Femi I would even compare to Ziggy Marley, he has amazing potential, but will never approach the magnitude of his father...
