Still sticking up for Whiz thread

I could make some semi-intelligent arguments here, but not even worth it. The QB situation on this time is enough to get Whiz fired. I thought at the time of the Kolb trade/contract, it's the type of move the GM and coach are putting their jobs on the line to make. Whether it be lack of talent, failure to pick up the system, injuries, or likely a combo of all 3 of those, the Kolb move just hasn't worked out. I don't think Whiz ever envisioned Skelton or Lindley being his guy, but what is happening now is just a by-product of the failure of the Kolb move. And, that's enough to cause a complete overhaul of this team, IMO. When you miss on committing on a franchise QB, this is what happens.

I dunno - I didn't think he would get fired a few games ago, but he seems to be coaching irrationally on the offensive side of the ball. I wouldn't be surprised if he is gone if this poor play continues.

He should have pulled that kid at half time. Skelton would have been a better choice. He made have looked bad, very bad or pi cked up the happless kids ability to complete a pass. I would fire him for not at least trying to win.

If it wasn't for a lack of a QB we would be in the playoff picture?

Skelton was bad, but he could still keep you in a game. The rookie has no chance, and this was apparent after about two possessions of the NY game.

For so egregiously misjudging QBs (with the one notable exception) during his tenure as coach, I'm officially requesting a seat on the "fire KW" bandwagon.

Sorry Ken, and thanks for getting us close to the championship.

I'm not blaming Kolb, and agree he has been our best QB. But, when you consider the overall results of the team, his health, etc, the move has not worked out over the last two years. We might be in a different spot if we had a healthy Kolb for 2 years, but we haven't -- and everything else stems from that, IMO.

Nope. Whiz has lost his damn mind. He has either been gauranteed he won't be fired, and is playing for draft picks, or he has lost his damn mind. Lockeroom is gonna start putting out undisclosed sources, about how Whiz sucks.

We had a healthy Kolb for the first 7 games of 2011 and were 1-6.

The Cardinals defense intercepted NY 3 times in the first quarter, and the offense produced exactly zero points.

Its really amazing that this season there hasn't been a bench clearing brawl on our sideline. That the defensive players haven't done a "inmates vs. prison guards" impersonation after we lose 12 yards during yet another three-and-out series.

Ive been a long time Whiz supporter. But much like his benching of Skelton, with his horried miss to an open Fitzgerald TD, keeping Lindley in past halftime was the last straw.

I'll still stand up for Whis. He's a good game manager. He's good at building game plans that put NFL-quality players in a position to succeed. I haven't forgotten the end of the 2011 season or the beginning of this one.

He just needs to lose all personnel authority (including over the Final 53) and replace his OC and Asst HC/OL Coach.

I don't think that there's anyone we're going to bring in with our (likely) coaching budget that is going to be better than Whis/Horton.

Jets must be thinking the same thing. AND they beat US! Is there a worse team in the NFL at the moment. One who matches our futility!
