Hey Dawg---Whisenhunt already said after the game that sticking with Lindley in the coaches' opinion gave them the "best chance to win."

Best chance to win?

0 for 15 on 3rd down conversions?

Which part of 0 for December in 3rd down conversions or even 0 wins for the past 8 games do the coaches not understand?
That just shows how out of touch he is. Was the toast of the town, now he is just toast. Poor me, poor me, pour me another drink. :D

The thing is---this is all about Whisenhunt's contempt for John Skelton---it could have been a good story line---Skelton returns to the NYC area and pulls out the game to the delight of Fordham alums and NYG fans.

Skelton had already won in Philly last year.

But the greatest irony is---imagine where Whisenhunt would be right now if Skelton played like Lindley last year?

We would have been 3-13 or 4-12 at the most.

One can make a pretty valid argument that Skelton helped to save Whisenhunt's arse last year.

FACT---the only QB under Whisenhunt in Arizona to not have a sub .500 record as a starter not named Kurt Warner?

If I am Michael Bidwill Whiz is gone for this and I have been a supporter.

Today he totally embarrassed a franchise that doesn't embarrass easily.

Skelton, yes, I vaguely remember that name. That's the fella that our coach Whizenslump had starting ahead of Kolb at the beginning of the season right? No way Whiz was wrong about it then, or now, or wait, who is he mad at this week? Starter to goat, evaluated by the best, humiliated by the best, benched by the best, so the best could keep Lindley in for countless unpreductive drives. He looked blind folded out there today, but Whiz couldn't make the switch. If Skelton wins us the game Whiz looks even more dumb.

I think Whiz knows that he is either not getting canned no matter what and playing out the string while trying to get Lindley some development. Or know that he IS getting canned and sticking it to the Cards. I don't know if sticking it to them is the right phrase.

I tend to think it's the first scenario.

Obviosuly Skelton has reached ML's level in Whiz's eyes. I think Skelton hasn't worked hard, then came out with the frustrated comment, and Whiz was done with him at that point. Whiz isn't going to reward guys he doesn't think are putting in the work. Especially guys that after getting pulled comment to the press that they are frustrated with everything and how things are neing handled.

Whis does not care about that story line. You do. Skelton has pretty much sucked this year and it will cost Whiz big time. As it should.

He sure turned on him in a hurry. Whisenhunt traded up to get Skelton. Now Skelton is a Pariah. Oh well at least Whis isn't afraid to show he made a huge mistake.

We need a QB, not a new head coach. No matter who we would bring in, we still have the same garbage QBs on our roster and the same limited options next offseason. Firing Whis doesn't change that it just causes less focus to be put on it.

No QB in their right mind would come to AZ to play for Whiz. I am willing to bet that you could not find a QB in the NFL that would say "Man if I had the chance I would just for joy at an opportunity to play for Ken Whisenhunt." I would be willing to bet that Whiz has given AZ a reputation as the place where QBs go to die, a QB graveyard. Whiz is probably known as "The QB Assassin"

Whis' performance yesterday was a head-shaker no doubt. It was soooo obvious watching on television that Ryan Lindley was in way over his head and had absolutely no chance of leading a drive whereas John Skelton might have. It's hard to see what the Cardinals gained in the long or short run by leaving an overwhelmed rookie in the game. It smacked of leaving a rookie pitcher in a baseball game to get pummeled for seven innings when he had nothing----except this game was actually winnable because the defense played so well {again}. IMO, Whis is coming dangerously close to losing this team by what he did yesterday.

Now I don't know what has transpired between Skelton and Whis. but it seems like when Whis had issues with Edgerin James and Tim Hightower and the player ended up in his dog house, Whis didn't necessarily put the team ahead of himself. He certainly has that right, but yesterday it cost the team a winnable game IMO.

Yeah, I'm with you on this one. I don't think we've had one QB (including Warner) that has straight up loved him some Whiz. Most have a harder time finding a job, expecially starting jobs, once they have been Whizenfunked.
