Whis' performance yesterday was a head-shaker no doubt. It was soooo obvious watching on television that Ryan Lindley was in way over his head and had absolutely no chance of leading a drive whereas John Skelton might have. It's hard to see what the Cardinals gained in the long or short run by leaving an overwhelmed rookie in the game. It smacked of leaving a rookie pitcher in a baseball game to get pummeled for seven innings when he had nothing----except this game was actually winnable because the defense played so well {again}. IMO, Whis is coming dangerously close to losing this team by what he did yesterday.
Now I don't know what has transpired between Skelton and Whis. but it seems like when Whis had issues with Edgerin James and Tim Hightower and the player ended up in his dog house, Whis didn't necessarily put the team ahead of himself. He certainly has that right, but yesterday it cost the team a winnable game IMO.
