I love Keano's signings so far. This year's squad looks to be much stronger than last season's.

Keane says he should have three more signings before Sunday. Any ideas?

I know a lot of you are big Sunday fans--but is anybody a fan of any teams outside of the EPL? I'm thinking it might be worth it (if there is) to make a couple new threads for La Liga, English Premiere League, Bundesliga, Serie A, etc. Of course, if I'm the only one following teams in those other leagues, it'd be pretty lonely. :)

I follow Roma and Barcelona. And a couple of other teams in Italy and Spain. A few other lads on here do as well.

I think I created a Roma Thread a long time ago.

Do it, man. It'll give me a chance to follow those leagues at least a little bit. I barely have time to follow the EPL, which is one of a few reasons I don't much get to follow MLS.

I'm a huge Barca fan. Barca and Sunderland are the clubs I follow on a day-to-day basis.

I'm a more casual fan of Torino (mainly because of their tragic history) and Roma in Serie A. I sort of like St. Etienne in Ligue 1. I don't really have a favorite club in the Bundesliga or Eredivisie.

I like Bilbao in Spain and try watch them whenever Sky have them on over here and have a bit of a soft spot for Inter in Italy because of their English links.

Great news today that Jones only looks like missing 6-8 weeks which might have him back for the scum game.

that and Keano wants to bring in another 2-3 players before next weekend. Reading have confirmed that two bids have been accepted for Nicky Shorey but it looks like he might pick Villa over us :(

I have to give a little bit of a 'ha-ha!' to Sunderland for the loss to Liverpool, but I came away really impressed with the differences to the Black Cat squad. You guys seemed far more organized than in seasons past. Should be a solid mid-table team this season.

I'm really stoked about my Magpies drawing at Man U today. I don't want to hear anyone bemoaning Man U's lacking their top talent when 2 of our top 3 strikers are out, amongst others. Unfortunately I think we would have won 1-nil, if only Taylor hadn't gone out for a brief span with a minor ankle knock, which directly led to the tying goal. That was really gutting, but I was hugely impressed with our tenacity. We were tentative to start, but really started to play with confidence and a bit of swagger. Guttierez is going to star for us, I really believe, Colocinni defended very well, and Guthrie is only going to get better. We need Owen back badly, and though I love N'Zogbia as a creative player, he is NOT a defender, and we still need a left back desperately. Overall, though, I'm well pleased with the result.

From O Marseille official website...

An agreement in principle intervened between l' OM and Sunderland for the loan of Djibril Cissé to the English club jusqu' at the end of the season, Pape Diouf with OM.net announced. Some details remain to be regulated for l' officialization of this loan.

No, because his team is turning everyone down this year. As they did for us too, this year. HE hasn't turned us down this season. I never even heard of him last year.

last year/last season then!

The thought of playing for Keano might just be too much for him to turn down (and to tell WHU that he wants to leave ;) )....jump on board the magic carpet young Anton:koolaid:

West Ham isn't turning Sunderland down. The clubs have already agreed a fee. If Keano can convince Ferdinand to come North, then he's ours.

Looks like David Healy from Fulham will be on board, and there's a good chance that Blackburn will be convinced to sell Benni McCarthy also.

Come on, Keano!

Where'd you read that? Last I read, it was either Sunderland or us. Of course, he's a second-rate striker, but I'd take him for depth.

Healy. I hadn't read that report you have, probably because I only read the Newcastle side of things. He'd be a good signing for you, and you guys need him. For us, when Owen and Viduka are back, he wouldn't even be a sub I don't think. He'd just be insurance against injury. I'd have taken him, but no big loss. Good luck on bringing him in!
