Wow, who knew that the bunker would work for a full 90 minutes? I hate the tactic, but I think it was the right one for Sundypuke today. Arsenal are going to have a hard time finishing this season, and the kittens did a good job of defending in the area.

So my adopted team, Fulham, are on the verge of signing Kieran Richardson. I know little to nothing about him except he plays left back. Our LB position was occupied by Jon Arne Riise, who is hurt at the moment. What can you guys tell me about him? Good signing?

Also, anyone heard any updates on Dempsey possibly moving to Sunderland? Haven't seen anything in the last couple days.

Thanks!

Wow, that would be a huge get. Let's hope it doesn't happen :D

I'm anxious to see what's going on that is making Dempsey so unsettled. He has stated in the past that he intended to go to work everyday and wait for a bigger club to come calling, but that has obviously not been the case. A lot of Fulham's senior players have left, or are leaving.

I think him going to Sunderland would be sort of a head scratcher, no offense, as he wanted Champion's League football.

My thoughts also. Sunderland's a fine club, but the chances of Champions League football there are pretty low.

Funny that he's also been linked with Cesspool... er, Liverpool, when he could be a really interesting get for Arsenal who need a goal scorer, especially if Walcott is poised to leave. Dempsey could slot right in there at that position and give us much-needed goals.

My guess is that in addition to his team demands, he's looking for a really high salary as well--and we all know Arsenal doesn't pay high salaries.

Arsenal would be the best place for him.

Dempsey is more of a midfielder to me. He would help Arsenal, but they need strikers.

Disagree. He is at his best up front, as he has proven time and again for the national team. Never understood why Bradley and Klinsmann haven't recognized that.

As part of a three man front, with Podolski and Giroud, I think he would work out pretty well. Certainly better than Chamakh, Gervinho, and even Walcott.

You could be right. But that is not saying much.

Going into October unbeaten. Good start.

....shame we have Man City away at the weekend. Saying that we were the only side to take 4 points of them last year!

I need to wake up early to watch this game. Last season's 3-3 game was one of my favorites of the year.

Right, we need points at Southampton this weekend as the Christmas fixture list has been far form kind to us.

Can see us being second bottom in January unless we win this weekend.

I feel bad for Sunderland. They need some goals in the worst way.

They need more than goals.

Crazy stuff. The stewards at Sunderland are like Hitler wannabes. There isnt a match go by without incident.

The persistent standing one is a tough one too. You are not allowed to stand but then they create a singing section where like mindin people can get their season tickets (to stand basically) and then they start kicking people out and banning them from the next game. Crackers!!!
