Barton off to QPR. The guy's a loon, but a pretty good player. Losing him weakens the Mags squad, IMO.

We have to beat Swansea tomorrow, or Bruce can start packing his bags. I'll be watching, sharpening my pitchfork.

Actually, I really don't think so. I agree that he is a good player, but the one place we are positively loaded at is at midfield. Aside from the veteran talent, we have Sammy Ameobi and Vuckic chomping at the bit for first team action, and Gosling is supposedly healthy now, and was a rising star for Everton before he was injured. Plus we have Obertan starting to shine, and will get back Ben Arfa shortly. I'm worried about Left Back and Striker, not the midfield.

If I ever did switch, I would pick a London team. :)

As long as you don't turn into a front runner and pick Arsenal (maybe not any more lol) or Chelsea, then you're allowed :)

I don't really think I can recruit you. But I am going to use this for comedic value all season long.

Nicklas Bendtner from Arsenal on a season-long loan. Hopefully, he can get us the goals we've been lacking. Should make a good partner for Gyan.

I know I have no room to talk, as we brought in zero strikers (a quality striker would have made this a killer summer, but alas, no), but I didn't want Bentdner. We needed the speedy guy, and Bendtner seems to be a Shola Ameobi clone--too lazy to be great. And why were you guys trying to sell Gyan in the transfer window? I thought Sundy loved him.

We were not trying to sell Gyan. If you think Ameobi is on a similar level to Bendtner then I dont know what you have been watching all these years :p

He is on laon so if he lights it up he wont be back...see Wellbeck for that! He might work with Gyan he might not but at least its another option. Better then doing nothing and hoping Ji and Whickam progress quicker than we are expecting.

I would have loved a 25 goals a year man...but as we know there are only a couple about and they cose £30million plus. We have alos offloaded Anton for £3m (and his £40000.00 per week wages) so that him and Steed who were the 2 highest earners at the club gone in a couple of weeks. Neither first teamers so I think Bruce has doe well this summer.

Thank god its over and we can get back to football.

Man, just when I need you guys to actually win... :D

I didn't watch any games this weekend, but at 1-0 it looks like you gave them a run for their money.

Looks like Martin O'Neill will be officially unveiled on Monday. Great job by Short and Quinn. I think MON will do a great job for SAFC.

I also read that he grew up in Northern Ireland a Sunderland fan. Cool.

He'd be a really solid hire for the black kittens. I don't want them sent down; then Newcastle wouldn't get to beat them twice a year :D
