I'm glad we have Ayton (and Bridges) but wow is this team ever a letdown. Constant blowouts...no player improvements....the coach is learning on the job apparently. I was all geared up for 'something' besides this. I think we are just flat burned out on this team until they start showing us something. I want to see Bender and JJ get better! I want a coach who can coach. I want I want I want....gimmie!!!!

I wonder if Kokoskov ever gets angry. I'm afraid he might not be a good motivator.

It reminds me a lot when Jerry Colangelo asked Cotton Fitzsimmons why the Suns were not winning. He told them not enough talent. This lead to the Larry Nance trade.

The Suns need another Jerry Colangelo and Cotton Fitzsimmons.

They have needed that for a long time. Unfortunately, we seem to be stuck with Ted Stepien... and whoever Ted Stepien would hire as GM.

If I were Igor, I'd play that clip over and over in the room with Chandler, Ariza, and Anderson. Over and over until all three of them were so embarrassed that they would flip their &#%.

I sure hope Sarver does not get impatient with Igor. More change is not going to help this team.

Adding a pg will.

We have 4 rookies on our roster. We have vets coasting for retirement. No team carries 4 rookies.

I was a little surprised he ripped into Chandler like he did. It's no surprise he bashed Ariza and Anderson but he always seemed in favor of keeping Chandler.

Normally I would be the last person to post a Gambo rant but he went off on the Suns yesterday. I thought I originally saw this link here but now I can't find it anywhere. Here it is for anyone interested. It's 11 minutes and Gambo doesn't hold back about how bad this team is. He blames McD, Igor, Sarver, and some of the players. I think it's actually worth listening to. It doesn't feel like hope is on the horizon after listening to this. I've questioned Gambo's sources before but I doubt he rants like this unless he knew there wasn't a deal in the pipeline being worked on. I think this is our team, for better or worse, until at least December 15th when players signed during this past offseason can be dealt. I'm not sure if anyone of our signings will be send off but I think there will be a couple deals around the league at that time with teams like Houston, LA, or OKC. It's hard to believe we're tied with OKC for the lowest win total in the league, one game. We've acquired one more loss than they have though.

I really wish a fraction of his passion from rants like this carried over into his interviews with Sarver. I know he won't lay into Sarver and I don't think he should do that either, completely, but whenever Sarver is on all he does is toss him some softballs. He even sets Sarver up to blame others for certain things and asks questions in a way where Sarver can say just about anything in response and not sound responsible. He has the access, no one else does. I know going too hard might cost him the access but that's why he shouldn't go all out. Even one hardball question would be a nice change.

Wow. I heard this on the podcast, but I listen on 2.5x speed. I didn't realize it was 11 min! Awesome stuff.

It is much of what we were talking about. The Suns could have picked up some players that would help this team with Ariza's $15 million.

Or they could have just stayed put and given extensions to Chriss and Bender and recognized that player development was still our single greatest need. Chances are both players will fail but they have a better chance of stepping up than Ryan Anderson does.

No, I think it was time for the Suns to move.

It can be such a thin line between success and failure in the NBA. Right now, the Wizards are about to fall to 1 - 7 as they are being blown out at home by the sub 500 Thunder. They are a veteran team with big names and big salaries and they are piling up the losses as quickly as we are. For some reason, that gives me a little more hope for the Suns this season.

I would strongly disagree with this but I suspect you might just be talking about moving on from Chriss and Bender as opposed to moving on from putting the focus on player development over wins. And if you're just saying cut ties with those two, you could be right. There's so much behind the scenes that we really don't know.

But I still say it's stupid to draft the two youngest players, the two rawest prospects at that, and then move on from them so quickly. Better to avoid prospects if you're not going to put in the time to develop them. If we didn't waste money on the Arizas and Chandlers of the NBA, maybe we could afford to be a little more patient with such young players. I'm confident that a good organization would have been able to mold at least one of those two guys into a valuable player.

What player do you use? I listen a lot of stuff on Youtube just because I can speed it up to 2x speed. I'm not sure I could do 2.5x speed but I'll give it a shot. I can't stand listening to podcasts at normal speed now and avoid a lot that I used to like because I can't handle how slow they are.

Overcast. It also has SmartSpeed, which skips through dead spots. Depending on the podcast I listed on 2.5x or 3x.

Skipping baseball and hockey talk, I can listed to a 4 hour show in less than an hour.

The radio sounds ridiculous now, like they're dragging out their speech. And I absolutely refuse to ever listen to commercial. I'd just rather turn of the radio.
