It's funny how everybody forgets Diaw missed game 5 as well. Damn.

not me - I didn't mind the Amare suspension - he deserved it. It's the Diaw one that always bothered me the most. He wasn't making a move to get in the fight, immediately went back and would have been the difference in Game 5. Dude ALWAYS steps up when Amare's out and was the difference out there with zero depth.

Laker fans are figuring out that's he a goner, not that he's not "that good", which is as head-scratching as thinking that Kobe, Diaw and PJ wouldn't have made a difference in a Game 5 that we lost by 3 points and led most of the way.

Yeah, not to mention the fact that Kobe is a bonafide Spurs Killer. Pop used to say, back during the Lakers Threepeat, that he was more concerned with Kobe than Shaq...because he could use fouls on shaq but they had no answer for 8.

So on top of all that stuff he'd bring to the table anyway, he's deadly against your biggest rival for the title.

Nash, Marion, Kobe, Diaw and a random big. Championship.

Thank goodness the Lakers aren't going to do any of this. :)

huh? How is it Game 5 all over again? We have Diaw (who I KNOW you know plays better without Amare in there and actually makes an impact without him) to score inside and we have Kobe Bryant to attack the basket, like he always does and like he did back in the Shaq days taking over down the stretch against the Spurs. Are you seriously telling me that if we had Kobe and Diaw and PJ Brown in last year's Game 5, which we lost by 3 points, that we would have still lost?!
A seven-game series of games five? Yes.

PJ has had fewer injuries, but I doubt he has any more stamina than KT (who was worthless in game 6 after his exertion). Diaw vs. Tim Duncan...hmm...yeah, Boris wins that matchup.

They've figured out that he's not head and shoulders above the league--at least those of them who don't mainline sunshine and rainbows have figured it out. They know he's in the same boat with KG and McGrady, in that none of them will be beating a good team in a playoff series without plenty of help.

As for the Lakers fans who do mainline sunshine and rainbows: for your sake, I hope Spurs Killer Kobe gets to face SA in the first round this year. ;)

Well, the F doesn't stand for "Facts."

Go look at the Lakers v. Spurs head to head record last year. Oh, and realize the only loss was in OT on a missed shot at the buzzer. Thanks for playing, arrogance and all.

Oh, and quick...name me a team that beats quality teams with only one player...not a lot of help. The Suns? Hell, they are built around help. The Nugs? AI and Melo. Thanks for pointing out the obvious, captain, uhm...obvious.

Well, if that's the case, they'll have no problem beating the Spurs in the first round this year.

It's a shame the Lakers have had such lousy matchups the last two playoffs.

Lakers fans crapping in the game threads now...what happened to the moderators?

Honestly? I'd rather face the Spurs than the Suns. But then again, we haven't played the Spurs yet and every year is a new outlook.

The Moderators aren't whiny about other teams posting like some dogs we know.

tell me that the next time they play someone good.

They did, Spurs.... havent beat them in a series nor out duel them during the regular season...

Amare is great inside scorer, but this team when clicking has no problems scoring as I stated. Plug in Camby in there and the Suns are much much much better in both ends.

Amare will never be the player he can be with this system. He is just a finisher and a pick and roll buddy come playoff time, and it never is enough to overthrow the good teams...

But I'm glad to have the luxury of having a player like Amare on top of the crazy offense the Suns have.

How could you not?

But until the day the system is designed for Amare to be utilized completely... he is not "un-tradable".

Again my views might be biased since that "knee" is lingering a lot on my head.... ironically, Im starting to feel like a Magic fan 2-3 seasons ago...

Then why don't I see a single opposing-fan comment in the 24-page Cards-Bucs thread?

;)

Then why do we have forum regulars like Migrating Osprey seahawk fan? Or AZwhatever bear fan? Or LorenzoTexan cowboys fan?

And what are you doing talking about the Lakers in your game threads, btw, if you don't expect that team's fans to comment? That talk was started by others, not me. I don't see any "we should trade Boldin and our first round pick for Tom Brady" talk in that Cards-Bucs thread either. :)

I can't really justify trading Kobe for Amare right now, knee troubles and all. We'd have to give more than Amare too, and I don't like that thought. I think it's an overreaction by fans to this knee injury right now. The guy shouldn't have come back as early as he did. Raja's surgery included a 6 weeks recovery, and it was similar to Amare's. He needs to just take it easy for a bit, and work his way back slowly. Diaw is playing well right now, so he could cover for Amare playing limited minutes.

Don't forget that Kobe has a lot of miles on him as well. I'm not saying I would mind trying to aquire him, but the guy has played 2 or 3 extra seasons just in playoff basketball, and has had some knee issues as well. I just don't want to do it at the expense of Amare.

I doubt it. I bet the Lakers would trade Kobe tomorrow if they could get Amare.

I guess it's because they stay out of the game threads.

Nobody would expect you to show that kind of discipline, obviously.

Nobody but you would care, obviously.

Alright stop with the bickering.

Donald is right it is the Suns fans that keep bringing up the Lakers and Kobe. He is just responding. That's fine, as long as you don't tell Suns fans "to ride off into the sunset."

Donald is welcome as long as he stays respectful to the Suns fans.

On a curious personal note, why did you take on this site as place you like to post? Are you from AZ, or do you have ties here? Do you like an Arizona team? I'm relatively new here, so I don't know a lot posters.

Just curious as you don't see many fans of other teams post a lot in another team's forum.

The only way a random big would be a starter and finisher is with another outsider in the mix. A new Head Coach.

Otherwise, it would be another big body to warm the bench, except for sporadic action.
