Well this is the result of the trades. Dearly missing Isaiah Thomas and Miles Plumlee.

We have no more size without Alex Len and we have nobody other than Markieff Morris that can consistently create and score points.

Our spacing is a joke.

I'm not missing Plumlee although having IT off the bench was nice. The problem with the Suns is that they didn't add any size in their trades. Minimally the Suns could have added Kanter.

at this rate Hornacek does not survive this season

There are clearly coaching issues when your team does not put together any sort of noticable plays and looks completely tuned out except Tucker.

I'm thinking Hornacek must be worried for his job or he would clear the bench.

And here is that great hit by Tony Williams and The Platters in the '50's,

The Great Pretender

Oh-oh, yes I'm the great pretender
Pretending that I'm doing well
My need is such I pretend too much
I'm lonely but no one can tell

Oh-oh, yes I'm the great pretender
Adrift in a world of my own
I've played the game but to my real shame
You've left me to grieve all alone

Too real is this feeling of make-believe
Too real when I feel what my heart can't conceal

Yes I'm the great pretender
Just laughin' and gay like a clown
I seem to be what I'm not, you see
I'm wearing my heart like a crown
Pretending that you're still around

Too real is this feeling of make-believe
Too real when I feel what my heart can't conceal

Yes I'm the great pretender
Just laughin' and gay like the clown
I seem to be what I'm not, you see
I'm wearing my heart like a crown
Pretending that you're still around

There are no positives in this game but reading this thread makes me wonder what people were expecting. In the middle of the season, a mediocre team adds one pretty good player but subtracts 2 of their best players in addition to an important rotation player and then their only center goes down to injury. It's no surprise we're being blown out on the road by arguably the hottest team in the league.

This is why TJ Warren needs to be getting consistent playing time. If only Hornacek was smart enough to realize this.

I've enjoyed the effort by Green and Warren . It's nice to see Green smile again.

Those are not excuses for the Front Office, Steve.

That is a description of their lack of foresight and team balance.

Putting a team together in an unusual combination, then gutting it in mid-season, is not alibi. It is an admission of incompetence.

I know what you are saying though.

Well I don't. Who are these platter dudes? If they can't sing "bottle of red, bottle of white, it all depends on your appetite" they are nothing to me. Although, since we're playing in Ohio maybe he should have referenced something by Bobby Womack or Doris Day or Dean Martin or the Isley Brothers or even The Pretenders (Chrissie Hynde is from Akron). The Platters are back east guys (Tony is from Jersey) but the group found fame in Los Angeles.

The message is in Buck Ram's lyrics -- the great pretender (as you know).

BTW, Scenes From An Italian Restaurant ("Bottle of Red, Bottle of White") is my favorite Billy Joel concert song.

If the Suns had the slightest chance to win this game it left when Green went out. He was starting to look like the Green of old.

You know very well that staying the course wasn't a good idea and you also know that we were in very Dire Straits and you don't get Money for Nothing. If you want to soar like The Eagles you have to make changes for The Long Run. For What it's Worth, I think we still have a lot of work to do but I think we are finally Taking Care of Business. This is just one step on The Long and Winding Road and until these guys get a chance to practice Eight Days a Week, we're Miles From Nowhere. So, IOW, we're Born to Lose.

As you know when the Suns lost the coin flip to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar they would always be running Against The Wind. Actually you could feel their plight In The Air Tonight. It happens Time After Time. Until the Suns can win a championship Suns fans should Take It Easy. One day I can only hope BC says This Is The Life.
