I hope that's true. What's also frustrating is that he rarely ever gets the ball when rolling hard to the hoop after the screen.

Len should really get the ball more - With around 45 sec. left when Morris hit that jumper, he actually had Len open right under the rim. There's a couple of those type of plays every game - Those 4-6 easy pts. for Len could be the difference in the game ...

Suns got a bit lucky at the end - It should never have gotten to that pt. though because when Thomas missed the 2nd FT, Len was right there for the offensive board (got both hands on it), which he has to get in that scenario ... It would have been a great way to end it - W/ Len getting his 9th board, and 10th/11th pts. !

I'm thinking the Cavaliers are going to miss Wiggins.

Yeah I think you're right. This Minnesota team, despite their record and losing streak is better than I thought they'd be. Wiggins is already a tough cover and he plays pretty good defense. They are too young to know how to win games in the 4th quarter, fortunately for us, but they are competitive in more games than you'd think.

I'm fine with the way we're handling Len. Hopefully he'll add some strength to his hands and forearms and he'll be much better at hanging on to those passes and the contested rebounds. I'm quite sure that he'll be a focal point of our offense next year.

Tom Chambers said something to the effect the Suns need to beat the Timberwolves while they can because they are going to be good.

They shot like crap, everyone was exhausted, Bledsoe played like crap, and they still managed to win. Another ugly win, but a win nonetheless. I like that Len finished the game.

They are but I think we will be too. We're not as young as they are but we do have a lot of youth and a lot of room for growth. When we trade the Lakers pick, our pick, the pick we get from trading PJ and the Minny pick to Philly for the right to draft Okafor, we'll be all set. We can start our 3 guards alongside Okafor and Len and use Ennis, Green, Warren and the twins as our second squad with occasional help from Plumlee. That way we can make the guys that want big men out there happy while appeasing the 3 guard crowd. Not that I really think there's a 3 guard crowd. ;)

I just wish the Suns would use him more than a screen setter and offensive rebounder on the offensive end. We used to waste possessions by feeding Plumlee in the post, we should at least give Len a look with some of those to see what he can do.

Especially that Len was a much bettter (post-up) scorer in college than Plumlee (which doesn't say much but still).

Okafor and Len. I could get used to that.

I agree. I wish there was a way to get him.

I think there's a decent chance we could get him if Philadelphia ends up with the first pick. With Noel, Embiid and Saric I could see them not feeling the need to add another 4 or 5 in this draft. I think Okafor will be even better in the NBA but he's probably not quite a franchise prospect so they might be willing to move off of him. We could offer them the twins and a couple of picks or something along those lines and the Morri are from that area so it might have some ticket and PR value too. Markieff and Marcus could provide some stability to their lineup as the kids grow up and they are young enough to be around for quite awhile as everyone develops.

The problem with Steve's analysis is he fails to account for why the Suns win now.

Goran Dragic.

Really simple.

He won't be here if idiots run the show.

Keep dreaming Sunsfans that Bledsoe will lead you.

They'd take Mudiay, and it would take a lot more to get the first pick than the Morris twins. It would cost Dragic or Bledsoe, all the picks we have, the Morris twins, and probably more.

Dude, you thought Mirotic wasn't an NBA player after actually watching him play in the NBA. Step it back on your "analysis".

The only reason this game was close despite the Suns playing against a 5-29 WORST IN THE CONFERENCE Minnesota team is because of assists.

Minnesota assists: 30

Phoenix assists: 12

I miss those days when Nash by himself would pick up 12 assists.

Our starting PG with a whooping...1 assist.

Mind you this is all against the worst team in the conference. The same conference in which the Suns are tryin to make playoffs in.

Marcus Morris is already one of the biggest low IQ, ball hogs on this team and if he's gonna try to pull this type of crap against Hornacek, we need to ship his out of Phoenix asap.

Hornacek makes tons of mistakes, agreed but he's still the HC and as a player you have to respect him

Here's a better look at it, I'd suggest watching the vine over the gif

We couldn't make a wide open basket, that's where a lot of the assists disappeared from. We're now 3 - 7 in the trail game of a back to back and I have no explanation for why we shoot so poorly on those nights. Our starters were something like 0 - 14 on 3 point shots and most of those were wide open.

Seems like both the Morri are getting more hot headed every day.

I would be surprised if Jeff didn't give Markieff some sharp words when he picked up his T, since he's been gathering them at a high rate, and Marcus would be ready defend his brother. So when Jeff said something to Marcus about his T, his pent up anger came boiling out.

Anyone know what Morris was so mad about?

I think Hornacek scolded them about about the technical fouls that him and brother rack up and Marcus didn't like that.

Our assists "disappeared' from iso ball. Same reason why the Suns rank bottom 10 in the league in assists.

Even Jon Barry called it out few times during the game and others have been able to see it as well. Hell even the coach Hornacek himself says that the players essentially become ball hogs.

Thanks. I think in the course of the season a dozen technical fouls resulting in one free throw is pretty meaningless. But I get that Hornacek is not happy about it, it's giving away points.

Its not really the pts, its the fact that technical fouls can have huge momentum shifts in games.

You're cherry picking and you're twisting messages. Yes Barry talked about the fact we had a lot of possessions where we just pulled up and took the first shot with one and sometimes no passes. But he also said that we were getting wide open looks and just missing shots we'd normally make. And I didn't hear Jeff call them ball hogs. He said the guards needed to penetrate and kick out more rather than just settling for shots that weren't falling.
