Was anyone else hoping that Len would actually miss the 3 when he took it in the second half?

I feel like had he made it, the Suns would look into turning him into Frye 2.0 and have him camp out at the 3 pt line.

I surrender.

Don't give into the dark side, Steve. A win is still a win at the end of the year. The Suns occupy 8th place in the Western Conference having lost a number of games to lesser teams yet there they are.

Reality is that ANY team who eventually wants to be attractive as a destination needs to AT LEAST make the playoffs... And make some kind of noise once they get there. That's how GS became so attractive after being an after thought for years prior to getting in as a 6 seed and upsetting Denver in the first round.

They really do.
I agree. It is not just whether the free throw is made for one point.

Once someone shows himself being prone to technicals, the refs watch him more closely, in terms of both technicals and common fouls.

Players who have earned bad reputations with refs have to be more cautious from that point on. Or not be cautious and risk playing in foul trouble or being ejected.

In the case of the Suns gimmick (which has started backfiring), refs view the twins as either/or. Wasn't Marcus' last episode with the refs because Markieff has a reputation?

Twins, brothers, 3 Lead Point Guards, Tucker or Green ending games at Power Forward, etc. This day was inevitable. Sarver and his crew's gimmicks are wearing thin. Arbitrary technicals is just another example.

Wearing thin how?

This is one of the youngest most inexperienced teams in the league. I think the problems with fouls and technicals reflects that.

And that our lighter players are going against opponents' heavier players, by being moved out of position.

If I were a player, I'd be frustrated. Which leads to more foul and technical calls, too.

As the season wears on, and the team that retaliates to aggressive play gets called, it is only going to get worse.

I could easily see us losing this game, trap or not. It's the second night of a back to back against a team that is hard to get up for. Bledsoe, for example, tends to raise his game for the better teams, which Minnesota isn't, and Green is almost non-existent against the weaker clubs so we will likely approach this game with less focus and intensity than we should.

Steve

Your absolutely right Steve and that's something that Bledsoe really needs to work on. He isn't being paid near max to show up just for the Warriors and Grizzlies. He's being paid that much to show up every single night. Now I realize that there's gonna be nights on when your shot will be off but the effort has to be there regardless of whether we're playing the 76ers or the Spurs.

During the fourth quarter at Minnesota, Eric Bledsoe had a driving shot blocked by Thaddeus Young. He did not get back on defense and the Timberwolves used the five-on-four situation for an open jumper that tied the game with 7:07 to go

^that type of situation is unacceptable from the highest paid guy on the team who is also supposed to be role model for the younger guys on the squad.

Effort is everything.
