Shaq is playing well and Marbury is just not playing. I'd like to keep Shaq. However I would consider Marbury for the veteran minimum (if bought out) if he approached the Suns about it. There is so much downside with Marbury especially since he has such a dominant personality. He would really have to want to play for the Suns and play backup to Nash. I just don't see it happening.

Marbury wouldn't be trying to fight for dominance with Shaq/Nash/Amare/Hill way ahead of him in their ranks. And he was good friend with LB. So, if both he and our management share the attitude to show it to DA, I don't foresee any serious problem but maybe his game were really gone.

G&A talked about the back-up PG issue all day. They seem to think that Sam Cassel or Jarret Jack might be had. Both are cheap!

Also said the Suns have no interest in Marbury or anyone that makes more than $1.5M.

Trade Shaq for freaking jerk Marbury? That's sabotaging! I didn't know there r spies on this board!

The rumor about Jwill was from Orlando, where he lives. The Magic has been seeking a backup PG, too. Jwill was and is still their main target. They said Jwill is definitely going to return, it's only a matter of which team.

If this is true, Jason Williams certainly would be my pick if the Suns are going strictly FA. I do think some team may part with a third PG that is just riding the bench. Maybe trading Tucker would get them a better PG.

J. Will would be the best bet I think. Trading Tucker to get a legit backup PG might not be a bad idea.

How about Smush Parker? He is currently averaging 20.9 ppg / 8.4 apg / 5.7 rpg / 2.1 spg in the D-League through 7 games. (He is also averaging a ridiculous 6.43 turnovers per game, so he'll fit right in).

I am not too keen on picking up D-League players, but at least Smush has NBA experience.

I have to say I am not totally against the Starbury idea. Honestly, it's not like we have these amazing high flying players coming off the bench to catch ally oops. Getting a PG that can spell Nash and put it in the bucket might work.

Oh please no Sam Cassel. This guy at the end of the year couldn't should except for a couple games here or there. He missed shot after shot and Doc yanked him more then once during the playoffs for jacking up stupid shots. Sam is done. No Sam I am.

Gambo said yesterday that the Suns are interested in Eddie Gill.

Nothing against Eddie Gill but the Suns can no longer cut corners on getting a backup PG.

If the Suns want to try to win a Championship, the time is now. Try to get Pargo or do a trade.
