Fortunately, we're know for that.

We will try until we get it right. :)

I'm enjoying the Morris twins at the moment. I do think they make each other play better.

The experiment with the Van Arsdale twins on the Suns roster lasted a year. Of course, they were near the end of their careers. Tom was never the player that Dick was.

The experiment with Jeff Majerle on our roster with Dan also lasted a year, if I remember right. Then he went on to manage their restaurant across the street. ('Love their burgers!)

Weren't we talking not too long ago about the problem of trading Marcus and keeping Kieff, and how touchy that would be?

I really don't think we need to open that Pandora's Box again with an All NBA Guard and his marginal brother. And Goran certainly doesn't need the emotional support of having his brother on the roster to be motivated.

I vote "no".

I think it's pretty simple. Phoenix isn't a small market. Why do people say this? 6th largest city in the nation. What Phoenix isn't is southern. Ask Mcdyess or joe johnson, we're stuck in the same situation with Bledsoe. Seriously, as good as our owner has done recently, this smacks of his mess up with jj.

How? By offering him a contract that everyone, besides Bledsoe and Lebron's friend, thinks is fair?

If I remember correctly Jeff Majerle never played for the Suns at least on a regular season roster. I do remember watching him play for the Suns in training camp or practice.

You're right! Jeff Majerle never played for the Suns.

I remember sitting in the stands watching Jeff hit 3-point shots, I guess in practice (3-point shots were his only skill). Jeff was tall (6'7", I think) and very skinny. Some time later, I had a few conversations with him in the restaurant.

Hey, maybe Goran can open a Slovenian restaurant on Jefferson and Zoran can manage it. I guess they won't feature anything like the Thunder 9 (bacon cheddar) burger, though. :)

I believe Zoran has been playing well internationally. I'm not comparing him to Bogdanovic who may be the better player. However, as much as Goran likes playing for the Suns, I think playing with his brother on the same NBA team would be an attraction. I do believe Zoran can crack a 15 man NBA roster. Below is a link:

http://www.indycornrows.com/2014/8/...diana-pacers-showing-interest-in-zoran-dragic

That would be like the Knicks signing JR Smith's brother to keep JR happy.

No.

We should give our each roster spot to guys who deserve it not relatives of the players to keep them all happy as a family. If Dragic wants to leave PHX and go play elsewhere because we didn't give his brother a roster spot then that's fine, let him leave.

I want professionals on this basketball team not guys who are gonna cry about having their dad, mom, brother and/or sister on the team.

The JR Smith comparison is not good. Goran and Zoran are much better. I do not believe you are giving Zoran a fair shake at least without an invite to training camp. He has played well for Slovenia. As I understand it, Zoran is likely to play another season overseas. It would be interesting if Zoran decides to give the NBA a shot when Goran becomes a FA.

Not that it means anything but I think it is representative when the two brothers play together.

World Cup #Suns: Goran Dragic had 18 pts, 6 ast, 4 trv, 1 stl in 26 min. He went 6 for 8 (1-2 3s). Zoran had 22. Slovenia beat Mexico 89-68.

I believe Zoran did not miss a shot.

That's against Mexico.

In the game against USA, I think Goran Dragic had like 6 points and I'm not sure if Zoran even scored.

Just because they play well together against Mexico or whatever international team does not mean that will work in the NBA.

Zoran has had PLENTY of chances to make it to an NBA training camp and make a roster and yet no coach saw enough in him to grant him that. If Zoran doesn't earn it through summer league play and/or training camp, then he isn't worth it.

@sunsfan88

Goran had 6
Zoran had 16 points against USA

and by the way that was a friendly where no one wanted to risk injury and Goran still had limited minutes. I actually think Zoran can reach Gorans level and he is a bit taller and faster. Basically all he needs is more shooting confidence.
Although you can't beat down what he has done against Mexico 22 points, 100 % FG %, 4/4 3 pts ...

He was injured before World Cup and that was the main reason he left out this years Summer camp ... but will probably attend the next one.

Apologies if something similar has already been suggested.

Just saw that the Kings got rid of Jason Terry via trade to Houston - in looking at the Kings' roster as it stands, they have exactly one point guard: Darren Collison.

I'd watch for a possible Bledsoe trade to the Kings for Nik Stauskas + pick(s) deal (or, at least, rumor) in the coming weeks if Bledsoe doesn't pull his agent's head out of his ass.....

Ok, scratch that - just got a look at the Kings' salary and they're just a touch over $69 million for the upcoming season. Boy, have they painted themselves into a corner.

Yeah, the rumor would probably be more like Bledose and Archie for Stauskas and Gay.

Ugh - want nothing in the world to do with Rudy Gay, $19 million expiring deal or no.

I want nothing to do with trading Bledsoe. I just think Gay will be part of any Bledsoe to the Kings rumors.

Except the Kings don't want to trade him. What a horrible team, and yet, they have TWO players on Team USA!

I don't think most NBA players keep track of (or take stock in) city/metro population statistics or media market size as officially measured. I'm sure teams and agents will throw them out to make some players feel better about signing in markets that are "bigger than you think," but in most people's minds, Seattle is a "bigger" market than Phoenix, for example. It's certainly a bigger corporate market.

I think seaboard cities, west coast cities, and cities in Florida and Texas have a definite advantage that way--at least in basketball. Baseball might be a bit different because of spring training and fall leagues. And the economics of the NFL aren't as dependent on place.

But a lot of this can be mitigated by the organization, and I'm glad to see things improving after a fall-off after the Colangelo years.

Regardless, signing a star's brother to a place on the roster puts unnatural pressure on the Head Coach.

Every move he'd make with Zoran would have to be considered in terms of how it would be taken by Goran. That is not the way to build strength for the playoffs. Especially come the day when it would be beneficial to trade him.

Let Zoran make it or not make it on his own, not because his brother is 3rd Team All-NBA on the Suns. Sooner or later, it catches up with you.

Gay is only on there because LeBron, Durant, 'Melo, among others passed on the World Cup.

And yea they are a horrible team, I can't remember last time they posted a winning or even .500 record. Having 2 players on the USA team doesn't change that.

I would hate to give up Goodwin but with Warren looking like the goods if their him in for the chance to get Stauskas that kid is a sniper and sneaky athletic there videos on YouTube of him getting up and dunking between his legs and showing some impressive athleticism. Him and Dragic could be a hell of a back court. I know some wasn't Bledsoe but I mean really that guy has never once come out and said he wants to be here and he is clearly not worth the money he wants

Concerned about defense with this trade. But it is tempting. Problem with Gay is that whenever he gets traded, his former team improves.

This is nothing like Joe Johnson. Joe had already been here and established himself. He wasn't injury prone. We could have signed him reasonably the year before, but had no idea how good we/he was going to be. Joe had a suitor willing to pay, in Atlanta. He didn't want to be #4 after Nash, Amare and Shawn; Bledsoe wants to be #1 and wants a max contract while having never embraced Phoenix, and no one else wants to pay him.
