Suns management claims he was worthy of a top 10 pick -- and the contract ain't bad money for somebody that is (supposedly) an early first-rounder.

if you add in the amount it took to get the pick to take dragic plus the 500k of the buyout, it's really 3 million for the first year. i know it isn't cheap, but is anyone really expecting star caliber play out of lopez? nope. Dragic? Well they said he's second only to rose in last year's draft as far as pg's go, so i would say yes.

Having Dragic play takes pressure and the load of minutes of wear and tear from Nash, he is worth it just for that.
