Well I am going to leave to head to the game in a bit, thought I would throw this up.

Anyone knows what Lewis' status is for tonight? I think they said his shoulder was alright, but wasn't sure if he was certain to play. This is one game that we cannot blame injuries if we loose. Seattle doesn't have an inside presence to bang us around, they have a key injury as well (Ray Allen), they don't have a real point guard (although Barry has been filling in nicely).............we better win this one.

Well I'm heading to the game right now as well. Someone at my work couldn't go, so they gave two VIP lounge tickets to me-woooo hoooo.

Suns 98
Sonics 92

I have a good feeling about a win tonight.

So much for that the starting lineup. Joe Johnson and Shawn Marion are starting at the forward positions with Jahidi White at Center.

Let's see if we can shake up the luck a little bit:

Should be a lousy game to watch/listen to.

Suns better lose this game. :thumbdown

Nice start. I don't like the idea of double teaming anybody on this Seattle sonics team... even Lewis. They have too many three-point shooters who will kill you when you leave them open. Radmonovic showed that at the end of the first quarter.

Another great start for Joe Johnson. He shot 0-6 in the first quarter.

What's the rebound count? It seems as if we're getting beat by one of the worst rebounding teams..... What happened to that big starting lineup we were going to use?:(

Man, I wish there wasn't 4 seconds delay between the radio & TV. Bender drives me nuts with his really BAD play calling & comments but it's worse knowing what's happened befor I see it.

I'm hoping that "All of a sudden" , Bender will go on the IL:D

I couldn't agree more. I think the phrase I hate the most is, "maybe that will get them going." He says that every time someone makes a shot.

I've been impressed with some of Barbosa's other appearances, but he is really making a difference in tonight's game. He probably should have picked up an offensive foul there though. :)

BTW slin, I would trade Joe Johnson any day of the week for Brent Barry. It would take a lot more than that to get him away from Seattle however. Their salaries don't match, and Barry will be a free agent.

Have you guys noticed that the Suns really don't have any mid salary players, at least none they would be willing to get rid of. I can only think of White and Jake Voskuhl.

They need to keep finding Penny Hardaway from that spot on the floor. He is nailing it every time.

Right now Barry is the more consistant player.

But I doubt Barry will be better or as good in 2 more years or so.

Shawn Marion is 2-8 as well.

Something that is hurting Joe Johnson this game is having to play out of position in the post against Lewis etc.

That was a ******** three second defense of violation against the Phoenix Suns. I have no idea what the referee was looking at because Little Jake and Hardaway were the only ones in the paint and they each had players within a foot of them.

6:05 SEA - Layup by A. Daniels
6:09 SEA - A. Daniels steals the ball from A. Hardaway

Also he had another one that wasn't as bad that one but also lead to 2 points for Lewis who stole Hardaway's pass to a mysterious invisibile 6th Suns player on the court.

dude - your becoming like matt whitlock - he makes bad plays - JJ can't shoot - both guys are hurting the team - what's new?

I also don't notice any post about Penny hitting a shot at the 2 minute mark to tie the game.

not to mention another fine 5-17 game from JJ and a clutch miss followed by a foul. Both guys stink - I just don't see why we have to keep talking about it.

Penny is 8-12. He doesn't stink when he gets his head out of his arse. His shooting tonight (and pretty much over the past couple of weeks) has easily been the best on the Phoenix Suns.

Cheese, this has been a long-running joke on these game threads. Nobody is saying JJ has been better than Hardaway tonight. If it was not for the way Hardaway is shooting tonight the Phoenix Suns would be buried right now. It's just that every game Hardaway has 1-2 completely careless turnovers that lead to easy baskets for the opponent. They usually occur at a pivotal times in the game as well.

Speaking of JJ, I would much rather see him guarding Louis right now. He is stronger than Shawn Marion, and I think he is better against these post up players.

I don't think the referees have been that it tonight, but they should have called Radmonovic for a foul on that drive by Marbury. He rode Marbury to the basket.

Correction. Out of ALL the turnovers we create, the ONLY ones that ANYBODY remembers is the ones committed by Penny. That is a fact, especially on this board.
