*cough* best record in the league *cough*
Good thing the trophies are handed out in January.
oh, yeah, like you wouldn't be putting on your kobe costume and dancing around the room if the lakers had the best record.

Negative. We've been there before and had many a Lakers team that peaked before the All-Star game, only to fail in the playoffs (see 2004).
you just don't want to admit you have a kobe costume.
I for one would not.
Having the best record in the league means only one thing. HCA. That's it. That's all. I'd be happy for that.
Which is something it looks like the Lakers need badly...considering their piss poor pathetically garbagelike record away from Staples.

just such a big disparity between them and the actual good teams in the west.Not sure about "piss poor pathetically garbagelike" record, but they are about average for the Western Conference;
PHX 0.750
DAL 0.727
SA 0.714
Denver 0.588
Utah 0.565
HOU 0.542
LAL 0.421
Min 0.381
MEM 0.381
POR 0.350
SAC 0.294
NO 0.286
LAC 0.263
GS 0.211
SEA 0.200

Since all you care about are the playoffs why post the non-playoff teams? 7th best out of 8 playoff teams seems to support the notion they should care about HCA.
That was road record win % only.
snap!!At least we won't play terrible teams in the playoffs...because we can't beat them either.
I'm well aware of that. I just found it odd Lakers fans would deminish the regular season and say the only thing it's good for is HCA when it would seem they would rely more heavily on having homecourt than anyone they would face in the playoffs.
Good thing the trophies are handed out in January.
Or in the Lakers case NOT AT ALL without Shaq.
Which is something it looks like the Suns need badly...considering their piss poor pathetically garbagelike 0-6 record against the Lakers, Mavs, Spurs and Jazz.
I dont wanna breath too heavily in this thread.. Dont want the stank odor of jealousy to infect my lungs...
Jealous of your team's 0-2 record in the NBA Finals coupled with zero NBA Championships?
