I don't see where the problem is?

All the people who applaud him for his clothesline. All the people who had it as their avatar last season. All the people who felt it was ok to do it to Kobe because they don't like Kobe.

as much as I love the play and hard nose defense Bell brings to the team, I think the suspension is appropriate. While I love what he did to Kobe in standing up to the lakers, thiswas uncalled for and needed to addressed. To me the first kick was just him falling to the floor. However the second kick was pretty lame. Hopefully he'll learn his lesson and yet not loose his edge and defensive tenacity.

I agreed with the suspension last year and I agree with it this year. Doesn't mean I disagree with what he did to Kobe. I think what he did was necessary for the Suns to win that series and move on in the playoffs. That said, I still agree that he deserved to be suspended for game 6 then. Just as I agree he should be suspended tonight.

Well, then there is the problem.

I agreed with sending the message against the Lakers, I disagree with kicking Bargnani. But with that message he sent there was a perfectly acceptable consequence. No problem that I know of.

I was watching the Suns gametime (waiting for Laker game) and they have the players talking doing their bad acting stuff.

Well, Raja comes up and the video behind him is of him clotheslining Kobe. So, on the Suns pregame show the first thing they celebrate of Raja is him performing an illegal act that got him suspended. That's stupid. I can guarantee you that the Lakers pregame show doesn't show Kobe elbowing Mike Miller in the throat as if that is something great he's done (especially a season after the fact).

Thinking that it's cool, and that it is something to celebrate is a reason why the Suns suck. That it is the first thing they showed for Raja, his most important play, is hilarious. FYI, the second thing they showed was him hitting the big three against the Clippers. Priorities now, priorities.

Wow, a little sensitive to say the least. Most Suns fans, right or wrong, celebrate Bell throwing Kobe down. Should they show it on the pregame? Probably not, but is it really that big of a deal?

Geez, tune into only Laker games if you don't wanna see Kobes bitch ass getting thrown on the ground. We're too busy winning to worry about sensitive Laker fans

Your player is most famous, even among the team's fans and highlight film staff, for a bitch move. Says a lot.

Not really sensitive about it...it's a little mindboggling to say the least. I'm not even offended by it, but I'm impressed at the sheer stupidity of celebrating a play that got him suspended. I can't think of any team in the league that would do that, be proud of that. Very petty, and obviously Kobe's not only in Raja's head, but everyone who thinks that is cool.

But of course Suns fans would love it, because it's Raja, and it's on Kobe.

yep. glad he's famous for something.

You're starting to get famous for what appears to be an over emotional man love of Kobe. I don't think I've ever seen anyone defend someone they don't know with such a vengence. Not that there's anything wrong with that... no scratch that, there kinda is...

Sorry we don't all share your fasination with the Lakers and Kobe, but they suck. Somebody's gotta love them, might as well be you huh?

:)

Love of Kobe? Sure. But this doesn't have anything to do with that.

what's your damage, heather? just because a tv show was playing to ratings *gasp* doesn't mean that he's only popular or loved because of one incident. in fact, the only one who can't seem to let this go is you.

Smart one, suzy...especially because I was reminded of it by the Suns pregame show. You know, the ones who can't seem to let it go. The ones who know replaying it would play to the ratings.

Quite funny that it is so celebrated.

In your heaaad, in your heaaaaad...Kobe, Kobe, Kobe-be-be-be. /cranberries

Here's an excerpt from a Bill Simmons article on Raja and Kobe..

Bell: Doesn't care about shots, nails open 3s (42 percent) and covers the best opposing scorer every game (although his defense is slightly overrated -- quicker guys like Gordon give him problems) ... he's also their fiercest competitor ... if they don't need his defense in crunch time, they'll play Barbosa over him and he won't complain about it ... I once wrote that he played like Bruce Bowen after four drinks -- I'd like to revise that to "Bowen after two shots of tequila and a slap to the face" ... and if that's not enough, he clearly aggravates Kobe, which counts for something.
