In my mind, we drafted for our roster and 2019.

Rosen...2019. (One year behind Bradford, but I do think he plays this year)
Mason Cole...2019 (one year behind Shipley if he can't beat him out this year)
Kirk...2019 (Fitzgerald will be gone and will leave a open spot in the slot)

DJ Humphries...2019 will be the year we let him go or extend him
David Johnson...2019 will be the year we extend him (though I think it happens during the season)

The concept is that heading into next year we will have some questions answered.

Is Humphries a long term answer at LT?
Is Nkemdiche a long term answer as a 3T DT?
Is Bucannon going to be re-signed?
Is Reddick a LB?
Can Ricky Seals-Jones be a focal point of the offense?

Couple those with these certainties...
Rosen at QB
DJ at RB
Kirk at WR
Cole at C
Pugh at RG
Jones at DE.
Peterson at CB.
Baker at S.

and you are left with a clear direction moving forward based on what you have learned.
