Russ I am married to a NP who specializes in Neurology. She and I both feel that this kid needs help. He surly isn't going to get it from the Sports media, or even his team. To much pressure is put upon these young men; one must think tat there is more to life then to hound this player like he has been hounded in the past. We as fans and Media should realize that this kid is really reaching out for help, we should try to all try to give him our prayers and understanding.

Believe me I hope he gets help too I've lost a friend to suicide it's not an answer to anything just leaves a lot of devastation behind.

I'm just saying the original explanation is not all that far fetched a lot of people have bad reactions to prescription drugs such as the reaction I mentioned I had. I had one doctor tell me thought i had a degenerative condition known as polymyocitis, then the neurologist said it's not that, you have botulism poisoning, and it was the physicians assistant at my local emergency clinic that finally said stop taking both medicines and let's see what happens. Sometimes the most obvious solution is also the right one.

Dude is a GROWN MAN not a kid. He is a media manipulator and is responsible for his own behavior. But his upbringing was apparently rather strange and his story is turning tragic. That said, if indeed he did try to harm himself, I hope he can get his life turned around (hopefully sometime after Nov 12th if possible)

Sorry but I would fear and do fear that most people today believe like you. Now that is ashame.

While I believe that most people feel the way you do, sometimes the emotions surrounding sports encourages people to say things that they really don't mean on either a moral or spiritual level.

Take this stuff with a grain of salt.

Some of his actions are more understandable now.

I'd say he has some severe personality disorders, I feel for him if the guy really was trying to off himself he's not just doing this for attention.

Isn't that what Jerry was trying avoid getting by peeing in the parking garage :D .

uromycitisis or something like that. And I have to confess when the doctor told me he suspected I had polymyocitis that's what popped into my head, the seinfeld bit.

Just wanted to reference Parcells' quote about Terry Glenn "sticking his hands in his pants" trying to cut some tape from his uniform and missing the tape, cutting his hand. Parcells said, "Fortunately, he cut his hand."

He will never be out of the limelight. Especially if he just wants away at the prime of his career.

I think you'd be surprised how quickly he'd be forgotten if he quit football and refused interviews.

Press conference is on now. He says there was no suicide attempt. He took pills out of the one container and put them in a drawer. The person who called 911 saw the empty bottle and was concerned.

His publicist should be fired. She spoke after T.O. and was awful. He didn't even look at her. I suspect she'll be looking for a job soon.

He also said he thinks he can play Sunday, that they didn't pump his stomach and that he was asked a lot of questions that night. Says he's not depressed. Apologized to the Cowboys for the distraction. Thanked the Dallas emergency responders.

you could tell from the start that it wasn't a suicide attempt. I never once thought so.

No I wouldn't. He would not be as big on a national scale, but yes he would be a big deal in any community he was apart of. How come we still hear about ex players getting into trouble. Why is that still news?

Yeah she was a bit silly. I'm sure she said something controversial the last night that prompted the report. She probably didn't mean it that way and regrets it. If I was her yes I would be ticked if they took my words out of context, but she clearly is not a good publicist by that last statement she made of 25 million reasons to be alive. Hey lady... how about him just having one.... his kids! She is hurting him more than anyone.

Because they get into trouble. If they just went away quietly into the night we'd never think of them again.

I understand that, but why is it national news? If I got arrested I don't think it would be a national story. That is the very point I'm making. If he was a former player why can't he now be returned to normal person's status and not have his laundry in the news?

We know it happens but I don't think it's right.
