I've had people confess to killing JFK after a reacting to a few Vicodins...you can get so out of it that you forget that you already took your last dose, etc. You're right to plan out your daily dose if you're living alone - it can be nasty with a number of OD's that are nothing more than patient errors.

It is a persona that has spiraled out of control. I honestly think he has some regrets and is looking to move away from it but people love to hate him so he won't be able to just drop it on a whim.

I don't know, when TO lived in the Bay Area, South bay to be specific, he used to hang out at bars at Santana Row(a local mall). It was one of those things that was very clearly done to be seen, he'd make a spectacle of himself and then when stuff would wind up in the paper, he'd complain that the media gave him no private life.

Even yesterday Bill Walsh said yes I believe him when he said it wasn't suicide, but he said I am not at all surprised this happened to him he has something in his personality where he just absolutely NEEDS attention and when he doesn't get it he'll go as far as he has to in order to get that attention. He said it was something the 49ers were well aware during his time there and that he knows for a fact the Eagles became aware of, that if you really wanted to have an impact on TO, just ignore him. I really think that's why Philly suspended him like they did they knew nothing would bother him more than NOT being in the spotlight every Sunday.

I just don't buy that TO is unhappy with the image of TO, he may be unhappy that people dislike him, but I think he's one of those people that would rather be hated than ignored?

I dont care what he said. I didnt run off and listen to his press conference. I personally dont care. I responded to what was posted. dont go and get your little panties in a bunch over it.

I probably wouldn't have responded if your little panties hadn't got bunched up about it, then promptly soiled in a hissy fit when you were misinformed.

See, that's my take on the guy too. I wish that if he were to score against us in the endzone, that instead of booing and pointing at him the entire endzone would collectively turn their backs to him. Not only would it freak the dude out, but the TV cameras would eat it up and our fans would be considered bad ass for doing it. TO scores, stone quiet and people turn their backs. No TO show...no crowd reaction angry at him, because he eats that stuff up.

This story isn't going to go away quietly. PFT is reporting that Owens supposedly told his trainer he was upset that he couldn't be with his son on his birthday, and that monday his fiancee abruptly called off their relationship.

And they are quoting a member of the Dallas PD as saying TO owes the police force an apology for him and his publicist implying the police lied when they did in fact merely put his publicists own words into the official police report.

In other words, according to them what was in the original report is exactly what she told the police happened, that TO attempted suicide.

Ah the drama.

I saw Jerry Jones on HBO last night he made a good case about why they signed TO, I just thought that it was hilarious that it got orders of magnitude worse just after he talks about it.

They made a couple of other interesting points on PFT.

TO made a point yesterday of saying no I didn't have my stomach pumped that report was false. In fact, nobody said he had his stomach pumped, they said they induced vomiting(which was the initial report even before the suicide attempt story hit, that he had an allergic reaction and was at the hospital where they were going to induce vomiting). So was that just a mistake by TO or was he intentionally saying it that way?

And they also wonder aloud where exactly Drew Rosenhaus is in all this since he's Owens' agent and usually smack in the middle of his stuff?

Oh well, still waiting to hear the 911 tape I got to admit at this point I'm 75-25 that it backs up the original police reports.

Imagine if the Cowboys suspended him for complications from a NON FOOTBALL realated injury. i.e. suicide. No paycheck.

That would be plenty of inducement to backtrack and restate the circumstances by his handlers.

What a letdown, ESPN has the 911 tape on their site now but according to what I just heard on radio it's "heavily edited" because they removed the beginning of the call when she first calls 911. I listened on ESPN's site, it comes on when the 911 operator is transferring her to the emergency medical people and it's very brief so it DOES appear that it is not the full tape.

ESPN is also reporting that reporst that Bill Walsh said the 49ers asked TO to seek counselling years ago are accurate and were well known, the Eagles made the same request of TO.

So I guess we're just going to have to accept the official story.

hmm..ok his fiance broke up with him on monday, he couldnt attend his sons birthday and now this 911 call i just heard on sportscenter. definately sounds like TO was trying to escape something, maybe not suicide, but sounds like he was pretty depressed.

kim was freaking out on the 911 tape it sounds like to me. nice spin TO camp!

Well, I had heard his stomach was pumped, and the reporters talking to Carson Palmer for his reaction told HIM that TO's stomach was pumped, so that rumor was out there.

FYI Dallas PD is denying the 911 tape is edited they say the tape being aired is in its entirety, that all the stuff in the police report was obtained AFTER the 911 call it was not in the original call(which was the rumor).

And TO fired his personal trainer for talking to the press "about my private life". I can't honestly blame TO there the guy had no real right to tell them about TO's fiancee dumping him or the issue about his son's birthday.
