LoL, I saw that piece. What is he implying??? that Bosh plays like a girl?

Shaq is starting to get a little too full of himself :nono:

i think shaq got frustrated with Bosh's whinning.
i think Bosh said that shaq was cheating
(camping in the lane w/o a 3 second violation being called).

To the people arguing about why Amar'e isn't soft and Bosh is. Amar'e has the ability to dominate the game more than bosh does people are intimidated by amar'e because he isn't afraid to talk back and dunk it in your face but I haven't seen that from bosh. I hardly ever see him drive. Even in that suns game all the did was shoot jumpers. Never drove against shaq. Amar'e played against shaq when he was with the lakers and the heat so its not like he didn't play against him when shaq wasn't dominitave.

Bosh isn't any better defensively or on the boards than Amare. And he is less consistent too, has been for his entire career.

And what are those low post moves you are talking about? Can't see them, he is more of a highpost player and a worse shooter than Amare too.

Bosh IS Amare, with less scoring abilities.

This is closer to what I have seen. One on one, amare is a more dangerous, more explosive player, stronger around the rim while bosh is a finesse player with a very good mid range(10-15') game. Their performances are interesting with different matchups. Amare tends to play well against dwight howard, for years. He has also done well against shaq(but maybe not THIS shaq, the one with ju jitsu), and bosh again does not.. Amare has the speed to really bother other bigs while bosh has nice finesse moves that sometimes can be used in the low post(smaller opponents). Bosh does better against smart defenders(that take charges) that may be a little undersized, and does not run the floor on offense or finish at the rim or shoot(15-20') as well as amare. Bosh is a more dedicated help defender than amare, but no better straight up and probably worse. Because Bosh has never won in the playoffs against real competition as the featured player, I dont know if he has ever seen really good defense and done well against it. Amare has been in a funk this year probably due to porters tendency to use him as a jump shooter, and I also think he lost his head. It seems like amare was getting doubled sometimes as soon as he touched the ball and tripled if he drove. He must get the passing game going to overcome all the help defense. I'd be careful about the rebounding as amare has always played with better rebounders on the front line. When you play with bargniani, there are plenty of rebounds available. Playing next to shaq and marion, not so much. I also noticed shaq only had 7 boards in 35 mins last night, but barnes pulled down a ton. Rasheed wallace has only averaged a shade under 7 boards for his career in major minutes(less than amare), but I dont believe he is a poor rebounder, just had some good ones playing along side him.

If I had an offer to trade straight up, yep I'd do it because of amares knees(???) and that bosh probably would be a better complement with shaq, with his better mid range game, and he is a better passer. Add bosh to this team and it would be a 1st round nightmare no one wants to see.

Yeah I was really disappointed that bosh looked afraid to take shaq one on one. Amare is never afraid of one on one, and he has a reason not to be as he is very good at that. Amares first step off the dribble is explosive, bosh looks tentative on that first step and penetration. Also if you foul bosh hard he wont make the shot, that scenario is a significant 3pt play risk with amare.

Shaqs comments were hilarious, that guy is one of the funniest guys in the NBA.

Bosh was an excellent role player in the olympics. I'm pretty sure Amare couldn't have done that.

Bosh ought to know better whining after a game about Shaq camping in the lane.
Shaq is hilarious. :)

Those are shooters that you mention. If they shoot in the high 40's, they are fine. Anything 50 and more is amazing. We are just spoiled because Nash can average 50%

Post players are usually the ones who get 50's or 60's

You can't say that Bosh is an outside player in one breath, and then say that he doesn't shoot 50% in the other using your criteria.

Not saying that you said that specifically, but this is what has been said about him.

No, last summer, Bosh did some videos that made it to the web, and I believe in one of them he dressed up as a woman. I think Shaq was referring to that, not that Bosh plays like a girl.

Ah, gotcha. I vaguely remember that - was that the one for his All-Star campaign?

Now that I think about it, I probably haven't watched Bosh play enough to know whether or not he is as dominant on offense as Amare. I got the impression from watching him that his offensive game is more similar to Garnett's than Amare's.

i would call that assessment spot-on, actually. He doesn't so what amare does, but he can score with his back to the basket and shoot like KG. KG can impact the game without scoring at all, something Bosh hasn't quite developed yet.

I believe it was a different one. The all-star campaign was where he acted like a hill-billy salesman.
