Well, the Suns lost to the 76'ers so that means they fail to gain ground on us from the Portland Loss. That helps a lot, but hanging on to that 1 seed is gonna be tough. Spurs and Hornets are breathing down our necks.

Time to start a new win streak. It all starts when we host the Mavs on Sunday. Go Lakers... win one for Gee!

Sasha was horrid today (offensively..his D on Kidd was really nice,) yet Kobe was telling him to keep it up.

You could hear him on the bench tell him "you are fine, keep doing it. I have all the confidence in the world in you, bro. It's what you do." Gasol also had his hand on his head on the timeout encouraging him.

Those threes he shot were wide open...shoot them any time, man. Any time. If he hit half of them like he usually does, this wouldn't have even been a game.

What a ridiculous game. I can not WAIT until we have bynum back for the interior defense and rebounding.

This team can win in sooo many ways. Today we had to go to our last resort, KobeTime. Good to know you have that ace in the hole, huh.

QUOTE OF THE NIGHT
"He didn't cooperate on any of our defenses."

-- Mavs coach Avery Johnson, explaining the futility of the many defenses Dallas used to try to stop Kobe Bryant.

:biglaugh: Great quote, Avery.

Nice to win when you shoot 38 percent from the floor and 22 percent from three. (Dallas was 37 percent, but 40 percent from three...we shot more FTs but they shot 15 more shots from the floor.)

Yeah, if there was any doubt that should have sewn it all up. If it didn't then whoever is arguing against is simply a hater.
Hell, I am a hater, and I can't argue it. Kobe is the man. If he doesn't win it this year, then the media should be fired from voting for this award.

I'm looking forward to the Olympics, so I can have him on my team.

I noticed after the game yesterday that Dallas is 39-21 and in 7th place in the West! If the season ended today, the Lakers and Mavericks would meet in the first round.

Crazy year.

bynum will come back April 10 "on the road" against the Clips. As close to a home game as you get on the road.

Bynum returns ahead of schedule on Mar 30 vs Washington 9:30 pm. He won't start, he'll play about 15-20 min and look a little rusty, but he'll get stronger by playoff time.

P.S. Congrats Kobe.. Western Conference Player of the week. Technically, they should give it to him every week, but I guess they have to be fair to everyone else.

Dallas lost at Utah last night, 96-90

Dirk Nowitzki delivers a foul on Andrei Kirilenko that sent the Jazz forward to the hospital for X-rays, which showed no break in Kirilenko's right hip.

"I kind of tried to grab him, and unfortunately grabbed him around the neck. Things went so fast, I didn't mean to grab the neck, but I just tried to hold him so he doesn't score. I happened to grab his neck and it was a bad fall."

-- Mavs forward Dirk Nowitzki, on a flagrant foul that knocked Andrei Kirilenko out of the game with a bruised right hip.

Deron Williams had 20 assists.

Hmm.. this was the game after they committed how many uncalled flagrant fouls against the Lakers? Looks like the Mavs are getting a little dirty lately. They seem to have a rather high number of "accidental" fouls.

Yeah, no kidding.

The video of the hit is brutal, but I have a feeling the call wont change to a Flagrant 2.
