What does he think this is going to accomplish? If anything it just destroys whatever leverage Atlanta had in negotiating with any team. I guess he took the lesson from Bledsoe who eventually wound up where he wanted to go but I agree, this is a disturbing trend. Maybe he's tried to have these conversations privately already to no avail but this seems like a class A dick move, same as when Bledsoe did it.

Negative imho. He's a good scorer, but is ball-dominant with a bad attitude and no defense. I'd almost rather have Knight. Maybe not even almost.

I just threw up in my mouth.

I thought you might like him. LOL

He has some baggage no doubt.

It's good to be an owner in the NBA.

Mark Cuban believes NBA franchises will double in value due to the U.S. Supreme Court ruling.

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said that he believes that Monday's U.S. Supreme Court ruling on Murphy v. NCAA will double the value of sports franchises overnight, he told ESPN in an interview in Dallas on Monday.

"It doubled the value of the professional sports franchises in a second," Cuban said. "It will increase interest, it will add to what happens in our arena and in stadiums. It will increase the viewership for our biggest customers online and on TV. It helps traditional television because it's much lower latency, whereas online, because of cachet, it's much higher latency."

Read something yesterday about how gambling will be the new way to get stadiums and arenas for teams instead of changes to income, property, or sales taxes. I could see that happening but I think it will help some markets much more than others. It will help increase the value of NBA teams but I'm not sure it'll double them, maybe a 50% increase at most. It will take a few years for it to catch on but I think something like FanDuel or the daily fantasy gambling that has gotten big for the NFL will be the most popular way to gamble with NBA games.

They'll need to get tough with tanking teams also to avoid any sort of gambling scandals going forward. The league has only been gaining in popularity over the last decade or more and I'm sure they want to avoid any sort of questions about the competitive nature of games and teams within the league. The last thing they want is a scandal because teams are deliberately losing.

I would rather keep Knight. Serious.

I don't think Schroder is the type PG the Suns need. It was only a passing thought on my part.

I get the idea of not trading one bad contract for another so I'm with you on this... especially a longer contract at that. However, it's interesting the views on Knight are changing in a more positive direction. I'd still trade him given the opportunity.

I think we all want to believe he will come around. It wasn't so long ago a lot of us wanted to get rid of him at almost any cost except giving up a draft pick

It seems absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I mostly agree.

Maybe the extra revenue will someday give the owners the will to step up to the players to create more parity among the teams.

I know... it's only a dream.

More likely, nothing will change and the owners and players will be content to be more wealthy.

It looks like Jay Triano goes to the Hornets as a top assistant. Good for him.

Cavs cruising.

This might end up being the worst 7 game series ever.

Also, Marcus Smart is a turd.

Upside is it should keep the Finals from being the worst Finals ever. Lebron is the only hope for the East. I'd like to see Boston get there but they don't stand a chance against the Warriors. They might be able to steal 1 game but that's it. Lebron on his own will win 1 game for the Cavs and if they can get everything clicking they can make the Warriors earn their wins.

I am not a big Doc Rivers fan, but it is a bit refreshing to see teams keep some continuity rather than change coaches like socks.

Especially since the Clippers are reworking their roster.

Surprised they kept Doc, and extended him. He had his GM duties stripped this year and usually that is the first part of letting the coach go. That happened with Van Gundy and Budenholzer. Budenholzer was quicker though. Doc did do well after the Blake trade which probably helped him keep his job. He managed to pay Austin quite well while he had the chance though, which I thought might get him fired when that happened.

It's almost like when Blake left, a burden of higher expectations was lifted. Again, I like the Tobias Harris acquisition.

Anyone else get a ‘06 Suns vibe from this Boston squad?
