I hope Boston knocks out Cleveland but the league wants LeBron in the finals so it's gonna be near impossible.

Would be cool to sign Amaré and Barbosa again. I bet Dudley would love that. Seniors can ride the pine and cheer for Booker, Josh and #1 fighting for a playoff spot, again.

Man the glasses, hair, and arm compression thing make him look like an old man rec league guy

And he will turn 36 in November.

If Amare didn't depend upon his athleticism, I would be more optimistic about a comeback.

It will be interesting to see if the Knicks pay Porzingis the max coming off an ACL injury.

Porzingis is eligible for a five-year extension worth as much as $157 million this summer. Prior to his ACL injury, the Knicks seemed comfortable with the idea of offering him the max extension. It is unclear how the injury has impacted their thinking on extending Porzingis, who averaged 22.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.4 blocks in 48 games last season.

He seems excited about the Fizdale hiring though.

I wouldn't. He's a 7 feet and rail thin. that's not a good combination going forward.

Although he does kind of have an old man game his game isn't based on crazy athletism but I still wouldn't tie up all that money in him

If the Knicks do not show him the money other team teams will show interest. However, other teams are not going to pay him huge dollars not knowing his health.

Maybe the Knicks will offer him a large 1 year contract or limit liability on a multi-year contract.

He’s not a FA this summer, is he?

He'll get a max deal. Guys who have played at an all-star level and are still that young would have to lose a limb to not get maxed out.

I tend to agree but with the Knicks one never knows. They march to the beat of a different drum.

The Knicks signing Joakim Noah to a 4 year, $72 million contract proves it.

I wish the Suns didn't have to worry about salaries like that but in the same way, not having to worry about salaries is what makes them throw out ridiculous deals like that. They don't often use their unlimited funds in the correct way.

I guess we will see. If the Suns did not have the #1 pick my thinking might be different. However, the Suns potentially having three young stars. I guess I want to be careful about not adding another bad contract. I'm happy with the rebuild process so long a the Suns are doing it right.

Happy for Gentry. I always liked him with the Suns and up until the Pelicans acquired Cousins he got kind of a raw deal there. I know they had Davis but they couldn't keep talent around him, at all, and the few pieces they had struggled to stay healthy.

If the Cavaliers can get a first round pick for Kevin Love, the Suns should be able to get a couple for Chandler and Dudley because their contracts actually expire after next season. LOL

Love has a player option for the 2019-20 season for $25,595,700 which I can't see him giving up.

Love is a positive player though. He may not be an ideal fit with Lebron but his value around the league is probably higher than some would leave you to believe. He's still an All-Star and could probably net a top 10 pick in this draft pretty easily, in the 5-10 range. I could see Dallas taking him on to fill for Dirk for the next few years and bypassing the draft altogether. That's just one example.

Chandler and Dudley will not bring back 1st round picks. Monroe should have shown everyone that expiring contracts don't have the value they once did, picks are far more valuable. The only pick I could see us getting is OKC's if we swapped Chandler and Dudley for Melo. That's a turd sandwich though.

I'm not a Love fan. The Cavaliers would be having to give up #8 for me to consider taking him.

He does nothing for the Suns but adding him to the Rockets, OKC, Portland, or even the Pelicans would make them better. I think Davis and Love would be a better pairing than Cousins and Davis. He'd be a solid 3rd option on the right team. He's not talented enough to be "The Man" on a winning team though. He couldn't win in Minnesota and he hasn't shown much improvement in Cleveland. It all depends on the destination though. His value to certain teams should be close to is contract, provided he doesn't expect a new deal for the max.
