Unfortunately I was expecting this. Archie may need to seek his future in Europe.

Either Europe or a year in the D-League. I think the D-League is where he should go if he hopes to have an NBA career. Most teams in Europe would make him a starter and could reinforce bad habits. The level of competition is higher in Europe but working with NBA coaches by staying stateside with the D-League would probably be better. Staying in the D-League also keeps him on NBA teams radars.

Unlike other struggling players he at least has collected a few years worth of NBA contracts so money shouldn't be the main factor in where he plays this year. I thought being cut a few times might open his eyes and help him work on his weaknesses but it hasn't really.

The suspension of CJ McCollum for opening night should improve the Suns chances of winning against the Trail Blazers.

I think he spent most of last year in the D-league. Archie's problem is there is one thing he does really well (drive to the basket) and it comes easy to him and against crappy competition it can make it look like he had a solid game... like in the Summer league or D-League where he gets to blow by some guy that will never be in the NBA over and over and he drops 20 points. But then he gets in an NBA game where guys can stay in front of him and bigs cut him off in the paint and he then has nothing to fall back on, he cannot pass or shoot at a level that even approaches serviceable for an NBA guard.

Still the stupidest rule in the NBA. Just stupid.

This rule will forever have a lasting impact on the Suns. There should be some discretion on how it is enforced.

I had high hopes for Archie. It's still hard to believe he is only 23 but a fresh start (playing in Europe) may be what he needs.

I was very high on Goodwin for a long time. He has two problems- very low basketball IQ and zero versatility. He drives to the hoop, and has nothing else in his arsenal. I was sure he would add SOMETHING else, but he really hasn't.

My feelings are similar. It's been hard for me to move-on but his game hasn't changed. Time for me to face reality.

I think Europe might be his best hope to add to his game.

I didn't think the LMA/SA marriage was working out. An extension surprises me.

It surprises me as well.

Only a thought but perhaps the Spurs might be thinking if they sign him to an extension he would be easier to trade.

Never seen a player go from so good to so bad so quick. It's a mental thing with LMA

Aldridge went out with a heart condition right after the All Star break. When he returned he didn't look the same, at all, he had moments but he was average at best. I think that played a role in his play though. It's got to be troubling to get news like that, whether you're an athlete or not, and in the NBA with Bosh recently being forced into an early retirement because of heart and blood issues it's understandable why LMA struggled to get back to form. It's not a knee, hip, arm, or joint. It's your heart, it's not just your career but your life that could be at stake.

That happened March 11th and he returned March 15th. I was shocked he returned so quick given how unexpected and out of left field it was but he missed 2 games.

Watching the first quarter of the Warriors and at first, all I could think was "They're SO good."

But man, they are TOO good for the league to even be remotely interesting and that sucks.
