Or Oliver Miller. Still, I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Suns uniform. I haven't seen enough to know he's the best player but he's pretty impressive.
Those guys were chubs in college. Look at this kid. He’s not fat. He obviously puts time in at the gym to have his build. I don’t think the worry is that he’s lazy and will eat his way outta the league. I would side more with the concern that his overall size and the torque he creates might be too much stress on his joints.

Can we just trade our team for the Duke team?

That would work well if we could trade our opponents for NCAA teams. But I would settle for Milwaukee falling apart so that we can get the 1st and 4th pick then maybe we can draft Zion and perhaps Barrett at 4. Okay, that's a lot of luck, we might have a better chance of talking Duke into trading teams with us.

I thought the Bucks pick had more protection on it then it does, it's only #1-3 and #17-30 this year. That's not awful, it's not good but I thought it was protected #1-7 or 9 with back end kicking in at #20-30.

And this year, should Milwaukee falter and miss the playoffs, thanks to the new draft lottery rules it could conceivably be the 4th pick.

Do “conceivably” and “theoretically” mean different things? I think “theoretically” might convey your idea a little better. But yeah, theoretically, it is true.

Well, one of the synonyms for conceivably is imaginably so I'm going to keep on imagining a happy draft to make up for this unimaginably poor start. And theoretically, it could happen!

I'm glad they'll air this although I'm pretty sure the trade deadline is before All-Star Weekend this year, and before that draft. It depends on who the captains are but there is a chance for some good drama to be created.

Last year there was a lot of talk since Steph and Lebron picked teams and they each had teammates named as All-Stars. Would Steph choose KD first or Klay, when would Lebron pick Love, etc. Also the whole Kyrie/Lebron storyline was playing out and so was Westbrook and KD.

The captains are the highest vote getters from each conference. I think Lebron will probably be the West's captain with Kyrie leading the East, which could be fun. I'm not sure who else might get more votes in the East than Kyrie except maybe Giannis.

I know it's not for everyone but once they switched to the captains pick their team format the question of televising it was immediately brought up. The selection process may cause someone to ask for a trade from their team, and create some much needed rivalries. If they are going to do the traditional East vs West anymore then televising the proceedings is something that should have been penciled in from the start. I know during the announcement last year both Curry and Lebron said that they wish it was televised because they had a lot of fun going back and forth with each other.

I'm glad you are into the All-Star Weekend. I wish I could say I was into the All-Star game but I find it mostly meaningless. However, I often tune into particular events like the three point contest if a Sun is participating.

Depending on where PHX lands in lottery, I am on the Bol Bol bandwagon. Granted ORE has played a couple of cupcakes, he is averaging 17/12/3.5, his perimeter game is contributing to his 46% shooting percentage but its something he can improve. I would much rather have him than Bender or Anderson.

Except we need some talented experience on the team. Not All Star, but talented and experienced.
Depends on the talent. We shouldn't overpay for mediocre free agents. Maybe acquire veterans we want in trades. But we need to solidify our core first through the draft.

Couldn't you say that about literally any projected first-round pick in the upcoming draft?
Possibly, that is how dire our PF situation is.

Zion Williamson looks like if Spider-Man and Charles Barkley banged it out and had a kid.

I still don't get how a guy at his weight can play like that and it is really hard to think it won't cause him problems down the road. Most guys put on a decent bit of weight between 18-24... I just cannot fathom a guy pushing 300 pounds and only 6'6" not having serious problems.

Also, as it stands, I'd take him 1st overall without question.

Reminds me of a smaller, but more skilled Shaq. He's a freak, and the type of game changer that can turn around a franchise. Please please back to back 1's.

JMO, but I believe there are a lot of football players built like this, they're athletic but not skilled to play basketball.

I doubt there are many, if any, football players at his height and weight who also can jump and run like he can.

I have to say while the velocity of the block is impressive he blocked the shot it's at the bottom of the backboard below the rim. It wasn't the height it was the extension and then just how hard he blocked it.

he is awfully impressive, I expected him to struggle a bit in college because at his size his game is so much inside, but so far it just doesn't seem to matter.
