the part that bugs me is at the end when Hunter is telling off Lowry for a dirty move and Lowry is coming at him like he's trying to start something. Be glad you didn't get a flagrant and move on don't make it worse. I wouldn't be surprised if they give him a Flagrant or at least a fine after seeing that video
We don’t know what happened before that silliness by Lowry. Standing alone that clip makes Lowry look like a total douche. He should get a flagrant for instigating. All the way down the court. That’s just trying to start a fight. But we have no context. Maybe hunter hit him with an elbow early. Who knows.

Well IMO that COULD cause harm to another player. You're not expecting that, Hunter could have easily lost his balance and gotten hurt falling.

It's one thing to have the ball and stop in front of another player to draw a foul, it's borderline but players have been doing it for ages it's part of the game. Running alongside a guy and essentially dipping your shoulder in front and diving into him is something else entirely.

An aside but that's the primary reason so many non arizona fans can't stand Kerr Kriisa in college, he just jumps in front of people running downcourt, without the ball, completely uninvolved in the play and tries to get a charge. Very dangerous.
That’s very different than what Lowry did. Kriisa is always trying to draw a real charge. He often wasn’t successful and called for the foul himself.

teh reason I say flagrant is I want a player fined for a play like that.
Agreed. To be honest I’d want a suspension. Like the BS that Beverley pulls it just has zero place in the game. It’s literally not basketball. Fines don’t do enough. Missing a playoff game? Yup. That gets attention and serves as a deterrent.

The point is they're dangerous because it's not a basketball play. Jumping in front of a guy who doesn't have the ball and is running is dangerous all sorts of injuries can happen.

Taking a charge on the guy with the ball, or drawing an offensive foul on a screen etc yeah that's a normal basketball play. Jumping in front of someone running downcourt like Kriisa does is dangerous. What Lowry did is dangerous too he could have easily caused Hunter to trip and fall over him.

I don't have a problem with this move as long as the other player has sufficient space to avoid the contact, if not it's on the guy who jumped into his space.

Ah I thought you were talking about the ballhandler. I don’t remember seeing him attempt that on a non-ballhandler.

As I recall, Bobby Knight while still at Indiana pulled that trick on a late clock inbound. I think it worked but 35+ years might be shading my memory a bit.

Timberwolves playing with a purpose in this one. Haven't seen that from the Suns in a very long time ugh.

Funny you should say that. I've felt we've frequently lacked effort (focus) since around the time Monty returned from Covid. It didn't help that he buried Biyombo so deep that the guy is lost when he finally gets a minute or two. And he's done something similar to Holiday, just not as extreme. I'm not saying it's all on Monty, just using that point in time.

True, but that doesn't matter. Kind of a ******* way to retaliate if that is what Lowry was doing though.

Well, you're right, entire game is more accurate. But given our win/loss record, I think it's clear neither of us were talking about the full 48 minutes.
Except the Suns have looked very good and basically unbeatable, just not as consistently for the past month.

Other than the throwaway games at the end of the season, the Suns have looked very good and basically unbeatable for stretches but far too often we've mailed it in during the first half.

Wolves have a lot of talent but they got up big and did a lot of yapping and celebrating (none more so than Beverley and Towns) - I think Memphis reacted to it with 2 comebacks from more than 20 points down.

Well, Memphis came back and is about to finish it off. And Dallas is up by 15.

I found it on my bleacher report app.

Apparently you can watch the games on there and participate in live chat during games. It was pretty fun clowning on the T-Wolves with random strangers

There gonna get killed

KAT 8 points 5 rebounds.

Ayton has games where he disappears but damn this guy has so much talent and he makes Ayton look like Duncan level consistent. I think everyone can agree KAT is miles ahead of Ayton offensively and this happens all the time in big games for him. At least Ayton still shows up on defense

That’s the craziest meltdown I’ve ever seen. 71 points combined in 1st and 3rd quarters and 24 points combined in 2nd and 4th quarters. They had two different spurs during which they had 23+ point leads. Once in each half.

And KAT might be the worst playoff all star ever. Historically bad.

KAT is just not a smart ball player.
