Wow. I went to sleep this morning thinking I could wake up and Arsenal could be 5th. I wake up and 3rd is still in there hands.

A tie against West Brom guarantees 4th and a win guarantees 3rd. Simple enough but will the Arsenal players learn there lesson by then? They need to be focused for once. Also, will West Brom be really up for it to send Hodgson out with a win, or will they be distracted by the whole thing and wondering who their manager is going to be next season?

I think you guys really dodged a bullet. Not with us--it was always going to be an enormous task to win against Man City. Tottenham drawing with Villa, though...that was huge. They beat Villa, and Arsenal probably finishes 4th. Now, I don't see how the Gunners don't beat WBA. Then again, I said the same thing about Norwich, so I guess we'll just have to see. Wild that my own team can finish anywhere from 3rd to 5th after one round of matches.

Villa's been horrible. I have no idea how Tottenham didn't win.

And Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle, and Chelsea can finish anywhere from 3rd to 6th. Chelsea still have 2 games to play and are only 6 points back of 3rd. It's going to be a wild final day.

Giroud is terrible. No skills other than missing at point blank range. Thanks for showing up Arsenal.

Wankers.

I liked the Giroud goal also. What a perfect run...then touch after passing to Podolski.

I was really glad to see him score. I think he's gotten a little too much criticism so far. Sometimes it takes awhile for players to adjust. Look at Gervinho, he's already scored more goals this season than he did all of last year. Plus, Giroud already has 2 goals and 4 assists (all competitions) while often times not starting.

3-0 now, and no wonder. Arsene fielded a weak fracking team. Theo Walcott is the only threat to score, and if you are counting on him to be your offense, you don't deserve to win.

Wenger is losing it.

The meeting with the shareholders tomorrow should be awesome.

It's not a big deal. Not like it's a league game or anything.

Um, it is a big deal. The team needs a win in the worst way, and its offensive deficiencies are being exposed regardless of competition. This IS a big deal.

Reading hasn't won in the EPL yet, so yes, even the Arsenal scrubs losing to REA is bad.

What the...

Looks like things turned around when, yes, they put in our 1st team striker.

Wenger must be counting his blessings.

Final Score: 7-5 Arsenal. We were down 4-0 in the 2nd half. Don't know if I've ever witnessed anything like that.

Not sure how they got five and a half minutes of stoppage time when the sideline ref only said 4. Did the ref lose sight of it on his stopwatch?

The refs this year have had a horrible time doing their job in the EPL.

Because they kept scoring goals. After a goal is a stoppage, so refs normally let open play go on longer. That said, officiating has been terrible this year, but in this case, I'm not in agreement.
