It's WAY too steeped in comic book continuity, imo.

figured Catwoman had to be one of the main villains as Rachel's death left a huge void in the old love department... but Bane, huh?
well, i'm not as jacked (or perplexed to be honest) about this casting as I was when news broke of the Joker-Ledger/Two-Face Eckhardt, but in Nolan i trust.

Hardy as Bane? Bane is a Cuban pro-wrestler for kripes sake! I don't see that choice working. And, I can't stand Anne Hathaway.

Bane is a stupid villain. Always has been ever since they introduced him in the early 90's specifically to (literally) break batman's back.
I guess he might play okay on the screen because he's a "science" based character (he basically is super-juiced on steroids and wears a S&M gimp mask and little else...wait, maybe that won't work on screen afterall...)
I don't have a problem with the casting at all...I just have a problem with the character.

Do we know if Catwoman will be a major villian to Bane's secondary villian? Kind of like how Joker was to Two-Face last time? That might work right? I have faith in Nolan.

yeah, there were rumors back in the day that there were going to be two female roles in the movie... wondering if he's not setting himself up for Spidey 3 with having that many villains in the movie cluttering it up.
Is Nolan capable of making such a crapfest as Spidey 3? I hope not.

I'm hoping that if they do have Talia in the movie she is just a love interest and at the end of the movie it is shown she is a bad guy, though I've read Nolan said this is it for his vision of Batman so who really knows.

god i hope not, but even the greatest directors throw up a stinker in the middle of a brilliant run. it would be a shame for this to be it. Batman Begins, The Prestige, The Dark Knight, Inception have all been either very good or just flat out great... hopes will be high for this, but i KNOW he can't make another Dark Knight. I thought that movie was legendary (i know some don't agree, but i'm mesmerized by that movie every time it's on).
Oh heck yeah, DK was awesome! How did you like Inception? I thought it was almost not quite a good, just didn't have a Heath LEdger performance.

i was pretty blown away by inception, but The Dark Knight is probably my favorite film of the last five years, if not more.
I was excited to hear about Catwoman but Bane??? Bane sucks. He has always been a one dimensional character. Really disappointed in that part of the announcement.
I have faith in Nolan though. Between the last Batman film and Inception.....I am really excited for this last film from him in this universe.

I enjoyed Dark Night quite a bit, and was definitely blown away by Ledger's performance. I certain wouldn't call the movie legendary or anything like that. Batman's voice just flat-out killed half of his scenes for me. It's a movie I'd watch maybe once a year, if that, if someone else suggested it.
