This game was a perfect example of the difference between the NBA and every other sport in officiating. In the NBA you, can be bonked by the refs in regulation and in overtime on the same night, and it "just happened". I dont think that it is even necessary to talk about the many calls botched in the pistons favor that saved them both at the end of regulation and in the overtime. Bogus blocking fouls, hacks that arent called when the ball goes in the air after wrist contact right under the basket, jumping into the defender for foul shots when he is not even in the path to the basket all amount for a W for the home team. No other sport ends a competition(and I say competition lightly) this way. The NBA is a circus and deserves its sideshow status among the major sports. No wonder most evey one I work with will not watch the NBA. I prefer to watch sports, not "games of entertainment", never was a WWF fan anyway. Entertainment can be had in other venues and its acknowledged as such. THe NBA is not a sport, and I am not a fan anymore. March madness will have to do for basketball, they at least dont have the nuts to manipulate regulation AND overtime.
