I see a 1-1 draw for that game.

Complete and utter horsecrap red card...that was one of the worst calls I've ever seen. A yellow? Yes. A red? Never. I guess it's cool to kick Shola Ameobi in the chest and not get a card, but Tiote has to be kicked out on a pathetic ref's call.

Still and all, Sunderland's incompetence bailed us out. Martin O'Idiot kept playing with one lone striker for way too long (cowardly not to start with two strikers from the get-go anyway). They managed to deflect one in off of Ba, so fair point to the kittens, but playing a man up for 65 minutes? Awful display. Under the circumstances, I will GLADLY take the point.

Obertan with a stunning goal to give us a well earned win over Club Brugge. Top of the table. The Europa League is probably our best hope at silverware.

Yep, one hell of a goal. Suarez ended up with a nice one himself. I'll take the draw.

I can't believe Liverpool didn't get one in the last 20. It was a good game.

Heck of a good game, yeah. I think that was a hell of a bogus red card, but a good game.

Fully warranted. He play was over, he wasn't going for the ball and the studs were high.

And he made no contact. Even the refs said he made no contact after the game. So, yeah, no red card. The only reason it wasn't appealed is that the FA has the ridiculous power of making the suspension a game longer if you appeal and they decide you shouldn't have.

Man, injuries, suspensions, international matches, and the Europa League are all combining to KILL our premiership season. We'd be fine in the Europa League (in which we will advance), but we've had sooooo many injuries this season, it's unreal. We've lost three players off injury just in international friendlies, for crying out loud. Now Cabaye is out against Swansea this weekend, in a must win.

Oh, we get Tiote back, who is a hell of a player. Problem is, he'll probably get 11 yellow cards and be suspended the rest of the season :D

Oh well. We must soldier on. Let's get that win at home this weekend!

The tackle was reckless and dangerous. That's all that is needed now for a red card, even if he didn't connect. Besides, it looked like he connected to me.

2 weeks later, so what. :D

So...yeah. We basically have to just make sure we don't go down, and concentrate on winning the Europa League. We aren't going to make Europe next season unless we do, and unless all of our maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaany injury problems go away, AND we splash the cash in January, we don't have a snowball's chance in hell of making it via the league. Ugh.

If we can't beat QPR at home...hoo boy!

Having played them a few weeks ago, I can tell you they are not very good. That fact we only drew says more about the state of our team than it does QPR. I have no doubt if you play like you did against Man City you will win.

I hope you dont, but i cant see them having enough away from home :p

They seem to let in late goals like Reading and it has done them in this year.

What a game!

Indeed! The Magpies have nothing to hang their heads about. That was an incredible performance. Full credit to Pardew for playing the 4-3-3, sitting Jonas and starting Marveaux, and going all-out attack. If we tried to play defensively, we'd have been slaughtered. As it was, we put them on their back foot, clubbed them in the jaw, and almost won outright. A draw would have been nice but, really, this is one of those losses that can give a team a lot of confidence, even though they lost.

My only complaint was that Sir Alex is a whiny little bitch that should have been sent off to begin the second half. No other manager could have walked onto the field and ranted and raved at the ref and linesman like that, and be allowed to continue to rant and rave at the linesman the entire game. He should get a touchline ban for that. Lack of class. He was like a little girl.

Sir Alex has always been a whiney little girl about things. Whats worse is that the FA actually listens to him. Props to Newcastle for not bunkering as most teams would have.
