Well, don't hold your breath now. I've seem probably four or five Newcastle games. Now, sometimes I can get repeats, and sometimes I can get them on my computer.

Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot your situation. Even so, not all the Newcastle games are nationally televised, I don't think. But I'd be curious to know what stuff you do get. Keep me in the loop.
So I ordered sky sport package through sky. It was extra but It says it shows the most premier and All other level games as well as FA cup matches. Not sure about champions league though. American forces network shows most of the knockout CL games so I'm covered there. Now just need to find some teams to follow. I'm closest to Norwich and Ipswich. As well as Cambridge not too far. I'm excited to go to the new place in Tottenham when it opens. And I'm waiting to see if Liverpool can pry pulisic over from Bvd. I'm just so excited to see all the different places.

Tell me again, Palace fans, how great Pardew is. Yes, he was handcuffed by management at Newcastle, but even if given funds, he would have flubbed it. He got all kinds of money at Palace, and look at what he did to the side. I'm pretty chuffed at selling Townsend to them, at this point.

This also signals bad news for Sunderland, as survival-specialist Allardyce looks set to replace Pardew.

So today I got my first taste of football action on sky sports. they showed the early match Watford vs. Crystal Palace. at 1500 when the majority of matches were being played they aired a show with live udpates, but it was just sports anchors giving updates(not really worth watching)....the highlights shown were bare bones. It was almost like NFL redzone but with no players just broadcasters breaking down the action that we can't see.

Later they showed Manchester City and Hull. Hull actually played ok, they took a stupid penalty that changed the match.

with that said I won't complain further. this is much better than what I had before.

Now back on thread topic... I am watching the Newcastle/Sheffield Wed. match waiting for the action to open a little. they do show ECL games regularly so hopefully they will show more newcastle games.

1-0 sheffield on a corner 66 min newcastle enjoying much of the ball.

EDIT: in the end newcastle fall 0-1. they had a few good chances and held the ball most of the time. just could not break through.

Ugh, that was a frustrating game to watch. Newcastle mostly culpable for this loss. Got a bit frustrated with the ref in the first half because he started losing control of the game. That one defender could EASILY have gotten his second yellow, and I felt the ref's looseness would come back and haunt us. Not so, as it turns out. Sheffield eased up on the thug play in the 2nd and, quite simply, deserved the win.

Newcastle are going to suffer during Shelvey's suspension.

i missed the last match would have been nice to see. tomorrow's will be televised on sky. The sky package is nice. You cannot see nearly everything as BrittishTele does take some of the big premier matches and FA coverage away(liverpool/ManCity yesterday) and they hoard away every little thing they own even the match summaries. but there is a glorious amount of premier and EFL action. there is even NFL coverage on sky including Red Zone which is amazing. It blows away the AFN coverage that I get for the NFL. this truly surprised me I did not know that the NFL was not this accessible in England. don't know if it is because FOX owns sky and that they are trying to do a crusade with the NFL or if it is actually taking flight here.

Do local markets get to see all of their home town matches like we do in the states for our sport teams? or is it all national like I get in my package?

Big FA Cup victory for Newcastle today. I mean, it's only advancement to the 3rd round, but the Magpies get Oxford, which they should win easily, and this is the first FA Cup victory for them in 5 FREAKING YEARS!

Oh, you got to see the 4-nil thumping of Rotherham? Excellent! Sounds like you had a really entertaining game. You can go up there next year for a Premier League match :)

no doubt will return. it will be much harder to get tickets I imagine, but even my son(who does not like American sports at all) loved the game and proclaimed his support for newcastle. the fans were amazing the whole town was buzzing. would love to see a premier league match there. I had a lot of great moments. yedlin's run down the flank on the third goal was my favorite. but nothing like hearing the crown react to Liverpool's loss to Swansea and Sunderland's loss as well. that one was funny.

Okay, I didn't mind punting on the 4th round of the FA cup. The Magpies made 9 changes, starting a lot of the baby Mags, because of the insane Championship schedule. If we play our full team, we win easily, IMO. But this is the FA Cup. Oxford have THIS as the highlight of their season, and the Mags are clearly focused elsewhere. So, okay, if we lost, fine.

But damn. After Mitro's missed penalty (and his horrible game with horrible finishing), the wheels came off. I don't mind going out, but going out like THIS is embarrassing.

Yeah idk wtf happened against oxford. I watched the game tonight. Just a terrible own goal at the end. Just pitiful. And Sunderland draws with spurs yesterday.

Ugh, what a terrible game to watch, especially in the first half. It's weird--sometimes, scoring in the first minute leads to a huge blowout, and sometimes it's a curse. I told the TV, "Okay, now you can't have any letup." Sure enough, the Mags took their foot right off the petal. Almost got out of the half winning, but gave up the equalizer. Second half? Night and day. Problem is, while we should have been up by 2 or 3, we only get the 1. Then Clark's gaffe (I'm not convinced he didn't have a concussion) really destroyed it. Blech.

As for the Oxford game, it was really predictable. Newcastle usually get flak for not trying in the cups, but that's in the Premiership. The Championship has so many games in such a short amount of time (3 in one week--Oxford, QPR, and then Derby on Saturday) they can't afford to play the big guns. With 3 players away at AFCON, they had to field a crap side. Oxford have been on fire, and they're mid-table in their league, so they started everyone--this was their big game. So I expected to lose--just not that bad.

yeah that was a nasty head collision. no one from QPR in the box on that one just a very difficult one to give up.

they did seem to get sluggish after the opening goal.

No one can know for sure (the players certainly won't tell the public), but everyone thinks Darlow failed to yell out to Clark, so Clark thought he HAD to deal with it. Who can say. Either way, it's a massive gaffe.

thanks I will check that out. yeah I think that one is on the keeper for not yelling it out. that's the first thing the commentator on sky said. I could not believe it watching it live.

I saw the highlights of the derby county game. Newcastle needed to score more goals. Could of been a draw in the end. Yedlins head saved two points and that derby player missed a tap in before that. Newcastle fans are really taking yedlin in. Hopefully he has indeed found his home.

Yeah, I got to watch it on a German feed. That's been our theme, lately, not scoring the extra goals. It hurt us against QPR, so I think we were due a break agaisnt Derby. I think Yedlin's doing good work for us, and will do good work in the Premier League for us too.

Good news is that results have really gone our way this weekend, too. Sitting top of the table!

yes indeed.

I am going to try to make it to either the wolves game or Norwich. it's hard to find the games here live because of sky and brittish television do well to block them. but the game Saturday at wolves will be on sky.
