yes indeed.

I am going to try to make it to either the wolves game or Norwich. it's hard to find the games here live because of sky and brittish television do well to block them. but the game Saturday at wolves will be on sky.

Yeah, I'm excited about that, having the one on TV over here on BeIn this Saturday. If I were you, I'd go to the Norwich game, because you can see the Wolves game on TV. Plus, the Norwich game will give you a better shot at seeing Gayle return from injury. He might make it back for Wolves, though.

Yeah that's a good point. I really want to go to Wolverhampton But it looks like Norwich is more likely.

Whew, what a nervy match! Newcastle weren't great in this one. Wolves definitely deserved a point, and a better showing from the ref--who was awful against the Mags early on, but awful against Wolves a lot after.

How sad is it that the goal scorer--and match winner--has to be subbed off at halftime? I like his fire, but by this point admit Mitro needs to go after this season, as long as we achieve promotion. If not, keep him for another run, but he's nowhere near Premier-league ready. He's way too much of a hothead and a baby at times. He gets royally screwed on an early call, then starts flopping around and whining. Gets an early yellow because of it, should have had a red before the goal, and had to be subbed out at halftime. I mean, he gets screwed because players absolutely maul him and the idiot Championship refs just let them do it, but he always hurts his cause.

Nah, I'm done with him. Can't wait for Gayle to get back, hopefully for the Norwich game. Mitro's disappointing career as a Magpie has got to end this summer.

I was calling for mitrovic to be subbed before his goal. he was beyond careless. and as fate would have it he scores. how many times does that happen....look at arsenal...alexis sanchez scores on a blatant handball that the side judge clearly ignored unless he is indeed blind..and then arsenal wins the game on a handball penalty lol. the refs aren't just bad in the championship but I imagine they are indeed worse. either way you can't have players that are that unreliable.

Did you hear about the whole rule hubbub about the Sanchez goal? Seeing all the replays, he clearly knew nothing about it, so it wasn't a 'deliberate' hand ball. The rules do NOT say that a player cannot score a goal on a non-deliberate hand ball. When they contacted the ruling body, they replied with that, mitigating it by saying 'it doesn't sit well.' How the frack does 'doesn't sit well' fit into the rule book? It's a giant mess and a big controversy, going far further than the goal itself.

I hope they get a good result for your visit, lorenzotexan! I'm looking at our team sheet and frowning, though. Gayle on the bench? Okay, after a long layoff, he probably needs to be a sub. Gouff instead of Atsu? COLBACK instead of Hayden? He MUST still be injured for this to be the case. And though Diame hasn't covered himself in glory, Perez has done so far less.

Just getting on the players that should be on already would use up all our subs. C'mon, Benitez! Grumble grumble, gripe gripe.

Okay, enough of that. Howay the lads!

What a match. It wasn't the 4-0 dominance I saw at st James but this was a thrill. The ref was horrid. 2nd goal for Norwich was criminal and should have been a yellow card at best for the elbow to win the ball(for Norwich) right in front of the Newcastle supporters and yet the keeper still had to kick a grenade for them to score.

The equalizer was always coming and should of had 3 or 4. Yedlin continues to impress. Was not perfect in the back but he was a menace on the right. Gayle came on late for mitro. Mitro was better today than Saturday.

It does not surprise me for the poor hand ball justification. Maybe I misspoke it was not blatant but for me a handball by Sanchez. Hull was not bad in that game. Arsenal have been taking a lot of heat the past few weeks.

Yeah, my Arsenal buddy is going nuts. Looks like Hull might help relegate Sunderland, too.

I listened to it free on the team site. Man, talk about shooting yourself in the foot! At least it was a thrilling match for you to catch. Hit the crossbar AND the post. Well, it left the Mags top of the table, so that works for me :)

Yeah after the quick opening goal once again there was another let down. they got way too careless defensively in spite of the poor official. The second goal was a nightmare. But from that point on there was mostly one team on the pitch. So yeah I'm disappointed with the draw overall given that they should have won. but the environment was a great memory I will always have.

Seriously! I celebrated like mad, but a moment later admonished my computer (as if they could hear me through the radio signal) to not let up like we did against QPR. I guess they really couldn't hear me :)

I figure it's time to give Rob Elliot another shot in the lineup, after his long layoff and comeback. Darlow's cost us dearly recently, after all. What do you think?

haha I instantly thought of that. because Norwich got all of the momentum there a few mins later and carrow road got real loud. I got stuck in the concessions with all the fans pre gaming and a good deal of us were celebrating way too early when we saw that goal go in we all rushed up LOL. I got to actually hear a lot of the chants that I could not make out at st james in my first game. they love rafa.

that's a good topic. because yesterday should have been 3 points. a draw is still bitter in spite of how entertaining the finish was.

darlow was shaky at times throughout. Carrow road were letting him have it and it looked like he had it in his head the rest of the game because he made other small errors with the ball at his feet, but they kept going back to him and he was not necessarily shying away. the Newcastle supporters actually gave him a nice ovation when he came over in the 30th min(ish) to gather a ball.

Ironically he had another questionable effort in a sequence toward the end of the first half in the last game I went to when they hosted rotherham, but luckily he got bailed out by his defense and recovered nicely to make a good save. I think the fans enjoyed that sequence a lot more. and Newcastle scored a few mins later to open the floodgate for their attack.

IDK where he stands, but after two major errors away from his goal he is threading the deep end. then there's the own goal against QPR....I think we both put that one on him.

Yeah, Darlow worries me right now. Granted, it's only Villa Monday, so maybe Rafa sticks with him, and a dominating performance would give him a lot of confidence. But if he has more howlers that hurt us against Villa? Eh, I dunno.

Oh man if he has another one Monday I think he will be in quick sand.

GUTTTED about Hayden missing a month with an ankle op. We really need his presence in there beside Shelvey, not least of which is because it means Colback might play. Then again, Rafa put Diame in that central midfielder spot last week a while, so maybe he'll start him there.

Diame had a decent game in the middle front and was holding up top late I thought. Colback did play. Ritchie got man of the match honours. Sky marked yedlin as player to watch pregame. Yedlin did not feature as much in attack today but his hard work earned the corner that opened the scoring.

Game was on sky tonight. I came in at the 32nd min right when gayle came off. Looks like he's still hurt or reinjured his hamstring? Overall a solid performance in the second half. Villa had one good chance and Darlow stood tall. That was the play of the game for me.

You came in at the 32nd minute? You lucky bastard. That first half was one of the most pathetic displays I've ever seen, our relegation seasons included. The saving grace is that Villa is THAT bad. If the Mags play a half like that against BHA, they'll be down 3-0 at the break. Yedlin was awful for large swathes of the game, but got better in the 2nd half. Ritchie and Shelvey were doing okay, but right after any good play, we'd give it right away. The 2nd half was MUCH better, and I have to agree on Darlow's play. Horrific turn-off in a terrible position, but Darlow stood tall and made himself big to make the save. He got REALLY lucky earlier, saved probably from a penalty and possible red for taking a player down--they called offsides to save the ref from making a decision. All in all, though, Darlow bounced back well.

OMFG, I can't BELIEVE Gayle went out injured again. It was a hammy, though I don't know which one :(

Oh, and the BEST moment? "Angela" Lansbury, that assclown that single-handedly cheated the Mags of the win for Forest with his cheating antics, bungling the clearance into his own net off the post and the back of his calf for an OG. Classic! Karma is a ******!
