Anwar Phillips, a two-year starter at cornerback, signed with the New Orleans Saints; Chris Harrell, a two-year starter at safety, with the Arizona Cardinals and Matthew Rice, a three-year starter at defensive end, with the Buffalo Bills.
Harrell, a 6-foot, 210-pounder from Euclid, Ohio, was second on the Nittany Lions with 88 tackles as a senior. He chose Arizona over offers from Washington and Tampa Bay.
"I'm real excited about it," he said. "(The Cardinals) did real good in the draft. I feel they're the best up-and-coming team in the NFL right now."
