Don't get me wrong folks,I liked Kerr as a player and respected him as an NBA analyst, therefore I was excited when he joined Suns,I had high expectations like any other Suns fans.

But so far,he's disappointed me with hid decisions.

Trading an athletic guy like Marion, already in Suns history with his numbers.A guy who's capable of getting 20-10 a game, along with couple of blocks, and one of the best in steals in NBA,plus Banks who has started playing better and found his rhythm in 3 point line for Shaq??What;s next?Shawn Kemp on the court??

Shaq is old, gets injured easily,he s horrible in foul line, slow, can not run, trouble even catching the ball, not determined-disciplined.Post-Shaq we are 1-2.And we did not lose 2 games,we are definitely blown out.Pistons and Lakers both almost reached season highs. There were moments we couldn't score for 10 mins in each games.Marion won't have same numbers in Heat since there's no Nash but numbers speak for itself,Nash's averaging half of his average assists per game since playing with Shaq.Shaq will defend, nah,we re beaten in rebounds both game.3 pointers will have open looks, nah, didn't happen.

Most said maybe we won't be top 1-2 west teams like we used to be but we'll step up in Play off's but Pistons/Lakers games both showed Shaq won't bring anything new to the table.

Getting Grant Hill was another mistake, trading Kurt Thomas as well.I hope time will prove me wrong but clearly we got robbed.

No buddy,I would say this even if we become champion this year.I would say we got the championship despite Kerr and Shaq

Obviously not a Suns fan. Grant Hill a mistake? You lose ALL credibility no matter how much you like to convince yourself you're right.

I don't know, but apparently the thing to do when a team you don't like drops a game is to register that day for a fan website for that team. Then you call the fans of that team names, and you post these poorly-reasoned arguments that demonstrate no understanding, no awareness of the history of why certain personnel decisions were made. I'm calling pile-on guy.

Not to dispute the stunning logic behind "Getting Grant Hill was a mistake" because he had a bad game along with everybody else on the team...

Please, stop kidding yourself.

Three years of the same lineups, and what to show for it?

Sure they would have made the playoffs if they kept Marion, but then what, lose in the 2nd round again?

Suns will still make the playoffs, but now have an option to go to with a half-court offense, which historically has been the dominant offense in the playoffs.

Forgot to mention that when you register for this website the same day that the Suns have their worst game of the season, and then come in here badmouthing the team, you're not allowed to make any "official" threads at all. :)

Guys you don't get the point, what's the future of Suns?Almost retired Shaq and Hill?I was visiting Arizona from another continent just because of Suns games.I used to wake up at 3-4 am to watch Suns on TV.The reason I am disappointed is these huge mistakes, because I love Suns and I love Suns fans.

Oh yeah?We deserved championship last year with Marion and in fact we were champion last year if the absurd NBA rules didn't make Diaw and Stoudamire sit that game.

It is going to take a few games for Shaq to become familiar with the system--being pessimistic is natural when your team loses the way the Suns did.

But you know--on same days--a team--no matter how good--just can't buy a bucket to save their lives. And--the opponent just can't miss, no matter how difficult their shot is.

A few weeks ago, NO beat the hell out of tyhe Spurs. It was a whipping through and through. The team managed to score a few points before the game ended to make it more "respectable".

This happens to every team every now and then.

This team as it sits now will not win a championship and may not make the playoffs unless Kerr can pull a couple of shooters out of his arse which he won't because of the salary cap, not because of Shaq or Hill. The west is now that tough.

I don't believe your claims. Plus, I was born straddling the International Date Line, and had to wake up at 2 am the previous day to watch the Suns on TV.

:sarcasm:

And if you've really been watching the Suns before today, you would realize how today's game was the exception rather than the rule. Heck, if you've been watching professional basketball in general, you would know that all teams have days like today. But since neither of those things is actually true, I guess we're left to just poke holes in your crazy, unfounded arguments on an internet forum.

While I think Kerr hasn't been anything special in his role, it's Sarver's penny-pinching that will ultimately cost this team a championship.

Days like today? So,you call it an accident?Any team can play bad once in a while like that? How abut Lakers game?So we ll lose every 2 of 3 games in the schedule and say "all teams have games like that".

No need to attack me personally, you re not better Suns fan than me or anyone here,I discuss, argue, listen, your posts so far didn't convince or change my ideas.I hope I am wrong,I hope Shaq will dominate inside, play big but he hasn't been around last 2 years.

I think Kerr is a smart cookie. He realized a team constructed like this (with Marion) had less of a shot to win a title than a team with Shaq on it. Shaq automatically makes PHX better on rebounds and defense, and its only a matter of time until they master the outlet pass for a fastbreak opportunity. The sky is the limit for this team and its because of Kerr. I don't care what anyone says, Shaq, at his current age, can still win playoff games and get a team to the next level.

The Suns going to the next level is scary, to everyone.

I've been anti Kerr since the day he was hired, he's completely inexperienced and his resume did not fit the job. It has NOTHING to do with him being a UA guy (just so that Mao doesn't jump all over me), but I would've much rather the Suns promoted David Griffin to GM, someone who has you know, front office experience.

If you work your whole life as a plumber, and are very good at it, and even write a 'How To" book for plumbers, that doesn't mean you'd be good at running a plumbing company.

Also, I don't think you can give Kerr much credit for the Grant Hill signing, Hill wanted to come here and Kerr had nothing to do with it. It wasn't like Hill was in Orlando and thought "geez, now that Steve Kerr is the GM, the Suns really have a shot!"

I think the combo of Kerrs inexperience (i.e. the horrific KT trade) and Sarvers penny pinching (though I do think this is somewhat over stated) is a bad combo.

You think Kerr wanted to get rid of KT so badly that he traded two picks away with him? That trade was a result of Sarver demanding KT's salary come off the books by the start of the season and Seattle was basically the only team willing to absorb his salary. Sarver's cheapness is the biggest problem.

What's Kerr or any GM supposed to do when you have no young assets, draft picks, and limited salary flexibility?

Welcome aboard Passenger.

Don't let anyone belittle your opinions. There are people here that are quick to label any :newbie: with a troll if they don't say what they like to hear. If you are a true Suns fan then your opinions are valued and welcomed.

Seeing as how you are a :newbie: I'll take a plate of shredded beef nacho's with a Bacardi and Coke. Make t quick, I'm in need.

you know, for someone who has only been on this board for less than a month you've got a lot of nerve trying to call out other people's fandom. i'm not saying you're 100% wrong, but you come on here trying to tell "new posters" what they can and cannot do . . . who are you to do that? that's why we have mods here.

now i appreciate your fandom, but please, i have to say, you're coming off quite arrogant.

Hill a mistake??

you're a mistake, coming here to a Suns forum posing as a Suns fan.

wow this board has just turned mean lately. i realize there are a ton of new trolls (is that all shaq-related? that's amazing), but the vitriol is just unexcusable imo. and this coming from dodie who i think is generally a nice guy.

I can't really blame Kerr for getting Shaq. I really think Gasol would have fit better, and it would have kept him from LA. That's the trade we should have pursued, but after all the moves were made in the West, we weren't going to win with the team we had. Unless we could have hoodwinked Howard's team and got him in a trade, like that's going to happen, we were going to flame out. Shaq is a big risk, but who else could we have got for Marion? I almost have the gut feeling that Shaq won't help us this year, but will be better next year with an off season with our medical staff under his belt. He just doesn't have the lift or power right now to be effective. If we can fix his wheels, he will be more of a force. That may take an off season.
