I would be fine with it right NOW promote Horton to HC so we don't lose what appears to be the best coach we have on the whole staff!

It's time. We've been dealing with this sloppy play since oh, and about St. Louis? Time to hire a disciplinarian

Oh dear lord. More with this crap. Most other coaches the Cards could get would probably have this team at 2-6 or worse.

Like who?

Name one. The Cards are not going to land a huge name which means they would go after coordinators again. Without Whiz we don't have the defense that we have. We need an offensive coordinator. We need a QB and we need some offensive lineman.

What we don't need is to start over again with an entire staff and go back to the Cards before he got here.

This is a pretty solid post. I agree 100%.

The problem with this logic is that we won't get an offensive coordinator while KW and Graves still hold their jobs. Sure, maybe Miller goes, but the next guy that comes in will be another KW mouthpiece that runs his offense exactly like he tells him to. Until we force KW to get rid of Russ Grimm, which he apparently won't do, and which we apparently won't force him to do, it won't matter what linemen we have. I've watched other teams over the years take garbage offensive linemen and make a serviceable unit out of them.

It is time to blow it up. I could deal with coaching flaws up to this point, but at some point there needs to be accountability.

We are quickly getting to the point of not being of not being good enough to be competitive. I know they are dealing with injuries, but so is every other team.

If this team keeps losing, the sellout streak will be broken. This is relevant because I think this is what would make Michael Bidwill pull the trigger on a coaching change.

We are NOT a smart, tough, disciplined football team.

I have to disagree. We are not Jacksonville. There is plenty of talent. But with no running game or pass protection (offensive line) and poor quarterback play, all other parts of the team are stressed. THIS offseason you blow up parts of the offense and fire Russ Grimm and probably Mike Miller. Even Jon Gruden said last night that the Cardinals have talent on offense in Larry, Andre Roberts, and Rob Housler. That is a good subset of receivers. But you can't exploit defenses if you absolutely cannot run the ball or protect your quarterback.

It starts with offensive line and quarterback. Just look at what the Giants did to SF with their offense. If you can get up quick on the Niners and force them to play catch-up, you can beat them-(see Minnesota and the Giants). OTOH, if your offense is as totally impotent as the Cardinals, you have no chance. The Niners usually don't commit turnovers and will run the ball down your throat if they get a lead. But if they get behind as they did against the Giants, they get desperate and Smith starts throwing interceptions.

Poor choice of words by me. I should have said coaching staff. Team roster minus the obvious I'm ok with.

You guys who defend Whiz are basing this on what? His record is .500...which yes isn't horrible...BUT take away Warner and we are no better than we were from 95-2007....If Tobin can get Fired and he took us to the playoffs and then had 4 major injuries happen...3 in the offseason. And the front office let the most popular player and corner stone to the team just walk( Larry Centers) than yes we can fire Whiz.

It is simple...Really it is...And that is why I am so perplexed. This reminds me of the Warner and Leinart arguments! We won because of 2 people....Warner and Todd Haley.

I will explain. We still got beat...we still got punked(NE and Philly in our super Bowl run)..we were called the worst team in playoff history. But Haley and Warner stepped up their game BIG TIME in 2008(both) and 2009(Warner) playoffs. If we get crushed against Atlanta in 2008...then 9-8(our record after that game) would have been worse than Plummers run) But Warner and Fitz got hot as fire(Remember we threw 15 balls a game to Fitz and no one could stop him)...and Haley helped by calling all these bombs and trick plays...and the team just caught on fire. Even the defense dominated which happens when the team is feeling good. Remember how we dominated Carolina on the road!

We played in a horrible division and we still didnt dominate in 2009 but did play better. And if it wasnt for Warners miracle game against Green Bay we lose to them probably by 20 points....dude threw more TD's then incompletions!!! Which to me is the greatest single game in QBing history.

All this success really had nothing to do with Whiz....Because if it did..he would be able to atleast have facts or stats to point toward him. None do! Waner leaves..WHiz has endorsed crap QBs.....Been Loyal to Grimm...Loyal to the point of massive failure. Clancy's defense performed eons above what our OL has ever done.

Now I dont endorse Denny should still be here but.....I believe and will always believe that Denny Green was a smart coach. You dont learn under Bill Walsh(Argue greatest mind to ever coach) Remember Green coached at STanford too....But Denny got alot of this talent here! And if he was here 1 more year!!! 1 more....we would have had Andrian Peterson too....I dont care what any body says...but with Warner in 2008 and 2009...with Peterson..we have a super bowl trophy. And probably Warner plays 1 maybe 2 more years. Just the threat alone of Peterson in the back field makes defenses play different.

The issue I have...is Denny made more adjustments and more changes than WHiz EVER has....Under Whiz we make the same mistakes, same gaffes, same effortless attempts during huge games and more importantly...there is no fire!!!! I loved that Denny was pissed after the Bears loss....What would have WHiz done....Said if we make the last FG...my plan and system would have worked.

Crud, Campos. I usually think you are nuts. This post is pretty hard to argue with. I cant agree or disagree with the guessing on Peterson, but the critiques of Whiz are starting to be backed with enough evidence to convince me...

How did Denny's team do the rest of the year after that Chicago loss?

How did Denny's team do the rest of the year after that Chicago loss?

Again...I didnt say Denny should have stayed. The team imploded and we got crushed every week. But Whiz has done nothing...NOTHING to show he can coach.

We have given up season highs to numerous players and during the game...we never adjust. The Rams record 9 sacks against us and we score 3 points....and yet during that game...not one adjustment. The Rams have won how many games after that game....ZERO. Buffalo comes in..after giving up 1000+ YARDS in 2 games...a NFL record....And we can barely move the ball! How many games have they won after they beat us...ZERO. Minnesota beats us around the field...and 1 week later...Tamp Bay goes into Minnesota...and scores a season high in points!

We can't block anyone in the current scheme.....Grimm's system obviously hasn't worked in 5 years....and yet Whiz does nothing. We let players get multiple sacks constantly....and yet the formations stay the same.

We have announcers with basically 3 days of prep work...dissect and destroy our offensive system. We have announcers watching 2 quarters of play...making fun of what we are doing!

We gain 7 yards rushing....and yet...we don't change RB's...don't change formations....And call the same plays over and over again. Have we ever thrown a straight Deep pass.....Just Hike it...Run straight down the field and throw it?

We look lost...confused....we look out classed. Even When Whiz complains on the sideline...it is so...little league.

I am telling you....the Gene Chizik comparison is beautiful. Cam Newton plays and they win the Title and look great. Gene even gets better recruits...and even with talent..Auburn is horrible.

We are lucky we are not 1-6.....Yes ..every team can say they should have won this or lost this...But we won 3 games by 5% miracle plays.....and how we have looked the last 4 games....Which team do we resemble?

Whiz's pressers are always the same....I would love to be a fly on the wall in his office or meetings.

I mean how hard is it? We need to give the QB time...and we need to create room to run. We need to change something....and yet we don't.

You would be wrong. The only way Whis gets fired this year is if he refuses to make changes to his offensive coaching staff.

agreed with this... and if he won't make WHOLESALE changes, including Grimm, I have no problem with his firing.

:D That may be true...And watch the attendance drop...the record stink....and the "Same ol Cardinals" come back.....

More and more fans are starting to see the Strings on his Magic act, the cracks in the glass, the Elmo's Big book of coaching in his office and the Note Card for a play calling sheet.

IMO I don't think the answer is outright fire Whiz. I think the answer is telling Whiz he is to turn the offense over to a real OC and live without Grimm, and replace Graves with a real football person (Holmgren? Andy Reid? Hell, Denny Green?). If Whiz doesn't play ball you dump him and make Horton HC.
