Sad to see this guy go w/out a real shot at being who we thought he was. I wish him good luck, unless he signs in division.

Now lets see if Whiz has the balls to cut a player who is a non-factor-Bryant Robinson?
He didn`t have a problem getting rid of ML.If he keeps Robinson (who might be a great guy off the field.non-factor on it) that makes me think it was more than production.

Well Matt, apparently I wanted you to be the starter here more than you did.

Hope you finally wake up and step it up in your next destination.

Hope he lands on his feet. The relationship between him and coach is just toxic at this point and for his sake and ours, he needed out

Matt, liked the mystic and college success you brought to the team but ulitmatly you were never better than a backup. You were handed the starting job several times and never took the reigns. You had a great supporting cast and couldn't overcome the big bad Whis playbook. We just wanted you to play football and learn the plays. Stop looking at your wrist everytime to remember the play call. We have to hope that your failure doesn't lead our team in to the crapper this season. We counted on you and you blew it again. Coach Whis should have gotten something for you if he knew you were not going to be the guy. Another blown opportunity. Hope you land on your feet in the AFC so I do not have to watch you. Good Luck and take care of your kid.

I'm more sad for the organization for missing on the pick....course they could have taken Cutler... which would have been much worse. imho

Screw Cutler, we could have had Ngata :bang:

you know, I never was on Ngata. Watched a few Ducks games and thought he was a tub of goo that would never make it...oh well

I wonder what you will be saying if we go 1/4 to start the season?

0/5 and you'll want Whis and Grimm's head. No way can we fire them as they both make too much money.

And so it goes.

I wasn't saying I was glad to see him go, I wanted him to start

No real shot? This guy had every opportunity to be a starter with the Cards and squandered it away in AZ. I'm sad it didn't work out, but am not upset in the least to see him go, and I was a huge Leinart starter. This guy let the Cardinals down more than the coaching staff ever let him down.

As far as the Good Riddance sentiment goes, at this juncture I can only hope it doesn't apply to DA by those who express it now

I'm not at all surprised to see him go. He had the physical gifts but his mental approach just didn't cut it. I really don't feel sorry for him, he is a multi-millionaire even if he never plays another game. I expect another team will pick him up, but if his experience in Arizona didn't humble him somewhat, he won't last.

well, what to say....i guess its no secret that i wanted matt to start, but after he walked out after the first game with no presser I knew he lost the media again,
and started a thread about it called matts first big mistake of the season,

the sideline interview where all the players were making monkey shines behind him, especially derrick anderson making a face like he smelled something bad, told me he had lost the confidence and respect of the locker room, started a thread about that too

then watching in retrospect how he was being used by the coaching staff told me he had lost there confidence and respect too,
I guess its hard to have respect and confidence in someone you don't believe in anymore
so this needed to end,
i think much like a bitter divorce a relationship just becomes poison for both parties
I hope he gets a fresh start I am terrified by the prospect of a matt and pete reunion in seattle,
i really don't think this kid is/was the next ryan leaf , I think if we pulled up the thread on draftday when we picked him "a gift from heaven" wasn't much of a stretch to how most felt on that day,

I sometimes wonder if having warner here didn't hurt his development, would I trade the magic 2008 season to turn back time and find out?

hell no, because I can die happy now we went to the freakin superbowl (and won it,dudes second foot wasn't down):D

but I always had high hopes for the kid got the #7 jersey to prove it,
I don't think we've seen the last of him, good luck matt try to take something positive out of your experience here, shake it off and move on,I think there are brighter days ahead for you,

you once said you just wanted the team to "ride or die with you" well looks like you took the ride kiddo,

anyway here we go big red here we go! stupid cardinals:D
