3 episodes with the most zombies and kills this show has ever done--even puts Atlanta to shame. Loving it so far.

That's what kills me about FOTWD. I totally expected mass amounts of mayhem, death and destruction. We get like 10 seconds of that before it turns into just a dreary neighborhood drama.

Hmm. I guess this is possible. I guess we do hear those to clicks of what might be Nicholas' empty gun. I guess we don't see for sure that they are Glenn's intestines being ripped out in front of him. (He's lucky no one wanted head cheese in that moment.) I guess he could slide under the dumpster while the closest zombies are busy eating Nicholas and blocking the zombies behind them.

But the theories compete with each other. If Nicholas is hallucinating and out of bullets, then he doesn't shoot himself and fall on Glenn, inadvertently saving him.

In the "Inside the Walking Dead" segment for the episode, one of the producers says that Nicholas saw two choices: be torn apart or opt out. Then Steven Yeun says, "That scene is the perfect irony. He [Glenn] have him [Nicholas] all the chances he needed, and he quit. He just quit." This seems to imply that Nicholas did find a way to shoot himself. Then another producer mentions how heartbreaking it is that they lost so many people in the episode, but no one mentions Glenn being dead specifically...

If Glenn is alive, I hope they revisit the scene and show how it happens, rather than just cutting to him crawling out from under the dumpster, or worse, just limping back through the gates into Alexandria.

But none of this is as infuriating to me as why Michonne, Heath, and Scott just stand there watching David being eaten on the other side of the fence. You have a gun! You have a long sword! Put him out of his misery!

I have a hard time with this episode.

How many "stealth" walkers are there out there that can just magically sneak up on the unsuspecting?

How many people just all of a sudden tweak an ankle or something. TWD has become the 2014 version of the Cardinals!

These walkers can be out run by an old lady in a walker yet completely healthy people just can't seem to get away from them.

I'm late to the party, watched episode three on Tuesday. Very good episode. This season has been amazing. The end was a fantastic cliffhanger that I am very curious about. I hope they start the next one with that instead of delaying it.

I agree and was yelling at michone to stab the guy in the head as he was being eaten across the fence. Cruel not to.

Two spoiler notes

I mistakenly had all but known Glenn would die thanks to social media. I didn't fully know but I had a good idea. It took a powerful, heart wrenching scene and made it.....: shrug:

I didn't consider the he's still alive under the guy theory and I hope he can escape but I also agree that if he does, they need to show it. I won't mind regardless of he makes it. There are still plausible ways to escape.

Rick taking out the group that came after him was awesome.

I love how this season has really been one big episode and can't wait for the next

I'm not saying Rick was wrong in killing him when he did but killing a guy just because he abused his family is a tad barbaric. They were trying to set up a society and should have had a trial for him with the worst sentence being banishment. He was needed as a surgeon even though he was a scumbag.
I agree but I was still with Rick at the time. Maybe it's just because I mostly live through him in the show

I will be very surprised if they address the Glenn situation in the next episode. Walking Dead tends to end episodes with huge cliffhangers and then ignore said cliffhanger for a couple episodes. It's an odd way to write a show that will get good ratings regardless. But then again, the writers of the show aren't exactly geniuses.

I am hoping it starts with Rick, not Glenn. When we left off, he was just becoming surrounded and the motor home wouldnt start. I so bad wanted it to keep going. Rick will survive but you never know with this damn show

The previous episode didn't have anything with the Alexandria people--basically the aftermath of Carol-Hulk. I haven't seen any previews for this weekend, but I think there is a good chance it will be only the Alexandria people.

EDIT: The preview I've found just focuses on Morgan, so I may be right.

the next episode is 90 minutes long also. I did hear some rumors it would be a morgan based episode.

I'm down for a Margon-based episode. I wonder if it'll be an extended montage kind of like what we say with Enid for a while. I'd like to see what it is that is making Morgan so averse to killing even at great expense to others: hog-tying prisoners while Alexandrians are dying, as others have remarked on above, and coming face-to-face with one of the Wolves (who tried to kill him) that he left alive in the car...

yeah he fought that guy in the woods when he was eating by a campfire and let him live before.

Thats what I feel it will be, showing him leave that town he went insane in, learning his staff skills and what caused him to go from off the wall crazy to super passive.

the fact that Glenn is most likely alive says the opposite about "you never know with this damn show". the EP was quoted as saying in a sense Glenn is definitely dead... at least the version of Glenn who believed in people was dead. If that doesn't mean he's alive, but coming back with a hardened look at the world, I don't know what does.

Rick, Carol and Darryl are pretty much the unkillables on the show. They ain't going nowhere. Glenn will be back, but I'm guessing he's a goner, sooner or later.

Another thing that is interesting to me is if he is really dead, what would that do to Maggie? Seems like it is so disconnected from Maggie, it takes a lot away from the emotional impact.

Nobody is really talking about Maggie and how that dynamic would be affected.

So nothing from last night yet?

I thought it was a solid episode, but a big change from what has occurred so far. Great casting and Lennie James proves he's probably the best actor on the show.

But like I said, no mention of Glenn at all. They're going to drag this out...

And finally, at the very end of the episode back in present time, Morgan leaves the house where he's holding the Wolf and we hear in the distance, "Open the gate! Open the gate!" Now, that voice sounded like Rick, but I wasn't sure--the last time we saw Rick, he was getting surrounded in the RV by a bunch of walkers.

Pretty good episode. I knew they couldn't keep that pace going forever.

Obviously the "Morgan episode" rumors were a poorly kept secret, and once it started, you knew we'd learn nothing about Glenn. :shakesfist:

Solid episode IMO. They better not drag this out though. That scream at the end of the episode was smart. Made me want to watch the next episode NOW. LOL.

this season has been amazing. even this slower episode was amazing. fantastic TV. I am still irritated at morgan though even knowing his story. if he keeps it up he will have to die or be sent out as he cant be part of the group leaving psychos like that alive to kill everyone . locking a door doesnt make everyone safe. the dude is going to kill judith or something.

Just watched it. FWIW, I thought the yell at the end was Rick.

Good episode. I thought having the guy who teaches Morgan aikido be named "Eastman" was a little much...

I also wondered why he didn't use his stick against the zombie instead of essentially putting his body in the way. But the narrative seemed to indicate that he was going to die--they just rushed it in the moment.

Also did anyone else think Morgan seemed to want to leave the gate open after he leaves the W guy (as Eastman did for him) before deciding against it?
