man, I just don't see there being a lot of "OH, NO! THEY KILLED ABRAHAM!" responses on social media if that were to happen.

I think there would be some. Although, I am starting to think cutting off Eugene's mullet by draw an equal response.

i dont imagine itll happen too much with glenn at this point. because of that I think they kill glenn AND someone else to keep it right but add shock value.

no, with Glenn, you'll have more of the "it's about time!" outcry because there was already the noticeable freakout when they killed Glenn the first time... and then the producers had to come out and not only basically say "he's not dead", they decided later in the season, they had to add in that ADR line "He'll be alright" with the laughable attempt at schmuck bait with shooting Darryl last week.

if they're really going to try to make Negan the biggest of big bads, he's got to show he can kill someone that will stun everyone. Anything else is a joke at this point after building him for 11 episodes.

There is no way it can't be Glen eating it soon can it? If so, why the multiple fake outs? I still see those as piss poor attempts by the writers to make Glenn look invisible only to pull the rug out and try to make a maximum impact to the audience. It was totally necessary but I still think that's what they were doing.

Also, agree with Negan. He can't be considered the worst without taking out a main cast member.

I agree with the negan thing...it has to be big if it is going to count...way too much build up for a tertiary character to fall.

if you don't think showrunners... or hollywood in general hasn't started considering social media to be one of THE most important ways to shape content or gauge reaction to something on shows or in the movies, you don't have a solid understanding how the industry works. Hell, you can just look at The Walking Dead for proof of that after the outcry of Glenn's "death" forced the show runners to completely pull the rug on that idea mere hours after it happened. Why? Because you can see how something plays IMMEDIATELY now because of social media.

thats my point, they will kill glenn to right that ship but also kill another person to still have the shock value.

I believe the intention was always for Glenn to still be alive after that scene and that they were simply trolling us at the time and will make it right on Sunday. Thats also why I believe that they cornered him against the wall when trying to save Maggie, top continue trolling the fans prior to his real execution.

We will all find out in just a few days!

oh, I know the intention was to keep Glenn alive. But the reaction to his "death" was so virulent, that they immediately backed off the idea in the press the next day.

You are correct. I apologize for being an ass... I am a dinosaur and the whole social media thing just kinda gets on my nerves at times.

The dumpster scene definitely got me... I was actually,..I dunno,...stunned? shocked maybe..... either way, total disbelief that they just axed Glenn....dude has always been squirley when it comes to maneuvering around walkers and getting free...that scene caught me totally off guard.

I don't remember the back off, just the rumors that started and then grew due to him not guest starring on talking dead as most dead people do. Looking forward to it regardless

haha... no worries. it annoys me too (and I'm only kinda old now), but it's the lay of the land in entertainment and will only get more ingrained as it develops further.

I was REALLY stoked with that moment in the show. I thought it was a great death and send off for Glenn to get his because of his greatest weakness... and to do it in an episode that wasn't a season-ender or beginning I thought was a real jolt to the show telling us anyone's fair game again.

and then an hour later, people brought up that it could have been the other guy's body and I prayed that wasn't the schmuck bait the writer's tossed us. then the next day, they clarified that Glenn would be back in some form and it immediately pissed me off to no end.

this was the ridiculous back-off the day after Glenn "died" and the internet exploded:

“I knew we should say something about it lest our silence say something we didn’t mean to say or not say,” he said in a message read out by host Chris Hardwick.

“So I’ll say this – In some way, we will see Glenn, some version of Glenn or parts of Glenn again, either in flashback or in the current story to help complete the story.”

so freaking lame.

I had a twisted thought when Maggie was apparently having a miscarriage: what if the fetus already died and became a zombie and is eating her internally?

fetus eruptus would be an awesome effect to see them do,lol...and it is the season finale.....

pretty sure killing Maggie is not on the table right now though...Lauren Cohen is pretty hot and very nice to watch...it would kind of suck if they kill her...then Michonne would be the only backside to appreciate ....

I pondered if that would happen to Lori as well when she was pregnant. The baby would have no teeth but im sure could still do some massive damage

Would be ridiculous considering it wouldn't have any teeth. That silly scenario was played out in the Dawn of the Dead remake.

I wouldn't kick Rosita or Tara out of my bed for eating crackers.

My prediction(which we won't find out until October) is that Glenn does indeed die. However, both Andrew Lincoln(Rick) and Melissa McBride(Carol) both said that the script for tonights episode was so dark that it bothered them personally. This would lead me to believe that Negan kills Judith. Only something that horrible would cement him as really evil.
