Andre Smith is a top 3.
Tyson Clabo is a top 10.
Eric Winston was a top 5 2 years ago. Hes probably still top 10.

The market is Ice Cold, so worrying about affording these guys isnt an issue. We could pickup a premier RT for a huge discount.

*Massie* - We could either hope and wait to see if Massie turns into our RT OTF, or sign a proven, plug and forget-about-him, lockdown Rt, right now. What if Massie doesnt improve? Do you think Palmer can survive the littany of sacks?

Id rather get a sure thing.

Besides, you can put him at guard, and hed thrive because hes a great run blocker. Thatd open up the draft so much. We could go get Warmack and have 2 lockdown G's and 2 solid T's.OR we could go after the best pass rusher available.

I say going after one of these RT's would be such a win for us. Youll never see an opportunity like this again.

Remember last year when we needed a LT after Levi went down? Demetress Bell was getting wined and dined by at least 10 teams, and that dudes a bum. These 3 RT's are some of the best in the game.

and ask Kolb if RT is less important than a LT. A sacks a sack.

Those 3 tackles better realize there a 3 coming in the draft that can all be had on rookie contracts.

Bad year to be a free agent tackle.

All the more reason to get one on the cheap.

Bunk! Massie is a freaking player and was lights out the last 8 weeks of the season. throwing money at any of those three would be a complete and utter waste!

I'm happy with Massie too. Good young player developing into a great one.

If we could score one on the cheap it would make our 7th pick sooooo valuable. The whiners continued to improve and still ended up with a polethra :D of picks. If Kiem and Arians are down, we could even trade for some 2014 stock. Gives them a full year to see what did and didn't work, and then they get to double down on first rounders next year when we have CAP space / dinero to do so. I think everybody knows we are a longshot for superbowl stardumb :D this year, but I am excited that we are rostering a team that should be producing on an NFL offensive level. If one of these cats is in their 20s, and wants to sign for some "rookie draft money + incentives" type money before the draft, I'm all for it. I can't put a beed on what this new crew is doing though, and that is fun and different.

Are you talking about Joeckle, Fisher and Johnson? They are LTs, not RTs.

Clabo, Andre and EW are RT's. And yes, it is a bad year to be a free agent tackle. And the greatest to be a team in need of Oline upgrades....

Youre stretching it a bit. He played better in the 2nd half, but does that mean we forget the 1st half where he graded out as the worst RT in the NFL?

Like I said, we dont know if Massie will improve. We can hope so. OR we could be 100% sure that Palmer is safe and take one of these proven guys.

Also, hows picking up a lockdown RT on the cheap a waste of money?

Sign one draft Warmack and trade a 3rd for Albert.

Why part with a valuable 3rd? Take Clabo or Winston, move Massie to RG, take Fisher, move Levi to LG and out line is darn near elite.

What makes you think moving those players to guard would work?

Levi and Massie are both exceptional maulers, which is a G asset. Both struggle with agility and pass blocking, which is key to being a T.

Do I KNOW, of course not. But will they probably? Most likely both would be very, very good guards.

Are there any examples of mauling tackles being moved to guard and it not working?

Depending on the price for these Tackles, I am all for signing one and letting them compete in camp. Between Brown, Massie and whoever you sign, let them battle it out and create depth if you have injuries down the road.

I'm sure these tackles will be looking to start but in a cold market and hot OT draft they will need to fight to stay relevant.

Also, after the draft, the market will heat up. We need to strike now. The moment one of them signs, the price on the other 2 go up. Supply and demand. First movers.

And I agree with the 'battle it out', competition is always a good thing. But I feel like guys dont understand who these 3 guys are. If Demarcus Ware was a FA right now with no teams calling him, wouldnt you be beating down his door? Theres no difference here. Each of these 3 guys would instantly become our best Olineman the second we signed them. There wouldnt be much of a battle. Each of these guys are studs. Wed be so lucky to get any of them.

I understand everyones point but from a 30,000 foot view it just seems stupid not to pickup a top tackle at a discounted price for the team that had the worst OL in football..

You know nothing of line play, and need to learn about it before making uninformed statements like this if you want to maintain any credibility.

Massie is the farthest thing from a mauler. He's weak by NFL standards, but will only get stronger. His agility and footwork are his strengths. He suffered in his run blocking because of his lack of push, and his pass blocking suffered because of the ends and backers he faced were light years beyond anything he faced at Ole Miss.

Massie's upside is the fact that he already possess the skill that are hardest to teach (ie quickness and footwork). Leverage and strength are the easiest qualities to improve, and he should this off season. He just needs seasoning.

You're not going to lock up Andre Smith at a discount for four years. If you could sign him for 4 years, $8M, he would have signed by now.

You can get one of those guys at a discount for ONE year. Maybe.

You already have Bobbie Massie for three more seasons for essentially nothing. He's not going to learn sitting on the bench.

Andre, no probably not. I was leaning more towards Winston or Clabo. Each a little older, but still both have a good 4-5 years left. Both would be lockdown RTs from day 1 and youd never have to worry about em.

And didnt I already make my point about Massie? I even put **'s to signify LOOK AT THIS.

Massie - We hope he will grow and improve, but WHAT IF he starts off the year like he did last year, Palmer is knocked out week 3. Seasons pretty much over. Do you really want another Last Season, again?

Theres a maybe in Massie

Theres a sure thing in Clabo or Winston

Im sick of "next year". Lets improve THIS year with a sure thing NOW.

Keep your snobby jerk comments to yourself.

Apparently you dont know as much as you think you do because Massies run blocking graded out higher than his pass blocking did.

Demarcus Ware wouldn't make it this far into FA. Makes you wonder why teams aren't going for these guys.

I watched a lot of coaxes film the last couple of days. The difference in Massie vs NE and Massie vs SF is night and day. The big difference is that vs NE Massie would get set and then let the rusher imitate contact. Vs SF he was getting set and then he would initiate the contact.

From what I've seen so far Massie is a Smith or Clabo at 23 instead of 31. Only idiot teams replace good young players with old guys. Which is what the Cards have done for years and why they are always 5-11.

Massie is the OL on this team that I'm excited about. He is definitely a building block going forward. If we can upgrade the RG spot he'll be even better.
