I look at F-bombs and a tech on Nash, and two ridiculous ejections as evidence that all is not on the up and up among NBA officials.
Good thing we don't have a fourth Point Guard. They would have T'd him up, too.

Siler, 8 points in three minutes. He is an offensive machine. :)

He was also playing against the Thunder's 3rd string in garbage time but he did look decent.

Siler can be a good backup center at least offensively. Otherwise he needs to work on the fundamentals. At least Siler is not afraid to play inside and he has the body to do it.

I just love that Stern's idea to fix what's wrong with the NBA is to give ATTROCIOUS officials more power. Thats worked brilliantly

Well, first off, I don't think Stern thinks anything is wrong with the NBA. Second, I think he wants more teams (and their merchandise) for people to root for, and more importantly, he wants to control what teams those will be.

At times he shows it but then again so does Lopez on occassion. We need one of them to show it consistently

Its a good thing we changed that starting lineup for as we all see the slow starts by Lopez were really holding us back. It had nothing to do with a lack of talent at all :sarcasm:
Despite an unbalanced roster and a coach slow to react to situations, making the moves at C and SG was still the right thing to do.

Two of the four right things to do, anyway.

OK, what what were the other two? At the risk of being called obsessive, (1) giving Brooks consistent minutes off the bench so Nash could heal and (2) giving Siler a chance at backup Center if Gortat had been given the starter's spot earlier.

Prefferably in a big market. Seriously I give OKC no shot of winning a title as long as Stern is involved.

Siler has never had the playing time and nurturing Lopez has received. I don't know how Siler can play better without the minutes. Gentry should baptize him under fire down the stretch to see what he can do. We know what Lopez can't do.

Our record since that move has proven otherwise. Quite frankly it really doesn't matter as the team just isn't that good.

Get a starting level SG and a decent backup big this offseason and it will be a different story

If he wanted more teams, wouldn't Stern have expanded by keeping Seattle and adding OKC and another city? Like Anaheim.

Between L.A. County (2 teams in one building) and Orange County, it will be interesting to see how that affects attendance for both the Clippers and Royals.

At this point its fine with me. I'm just not expecting any miracles.

Lopez did tonight what he is normally supposed to do - play good D and set screens on offense. He's not an offensive C, we didn't draft him to be one

Siler plays good O but shows nothing defensively. Then again he only plays in garbage time so there's only one way to find out what he can do.

There's some merit to a small town team like OKC though. No, they won't be winning any titles, but Stern keeps them successful for the bandwagon folks who pretend to like the underdog. They are flashy, young, but still middle America because of their hometown. Stern's marketing skills are pretty diverse.

Anyone watching post game interviews? Something definitely weird went down at the end.

Also, can someone give more details on the spilled drinks on sarver? How the hell does he have the right to kick people out? It is not his building. He just owns the team that plays there.

Gortat in his interview..."I've been in the league four years...I've never seen anything like that." (about the ejections) He said everybody will find out tomorrow what was said.

ZD was told not to comment in detail on the matter. The game was friggin over, so it wasn't like the refs were throwing the game. Seems like those ejections were very unwarranted though.
Who ever finds out first tomorrow, please be a doll and post the info in here. Inquiring minds wanna know what exactly went down tonight. :D

More teams for people to root for, not more teams total. Building support for current teams that he can control.
